Same-sex “marriage” in the United States is not improving the health of gays and lesbians, according to a study by the National Bureau of Economic Research, an American think-tank. In their paper, Effects of Access to Legal Same-Sex Marriage on Marriage and Health: Evidence from BRFSS , the researchers say that the legalization of same-sex “marriage” has improved access to healthcare for gays and lesbians. Even with that improved healthcare access, though, those in same-sex “marriages” did not see any sort of bump up in their health, they concluded. Health indicators for lesbians in these legally-recognized “marriages” did not suggest they are any healthier than non-“married” lesbians. The professor forced out by a  Jesuit-run  Catholic university for blogging about an undergrad student being  assailed by his teacher  for his having voiced defence of marriage has won in court. In a landmark decision Friday the Wisconsin Supreme Court said Marquette University violated John McAdams’ right to free speech when it suspended him for writing the blog post, and it ordered the University to restore McAdams immediately with his full rank, tenure, compensation and benefits. “The undisputed facts show that the University breached its contract with Dr McAdams when it suspended him for engaging in activity protected by the contract's guarantee of academic freedom,” court documents say. The Court wrote further that, "we reverse the circuit court and ... order the University to immediately reinstate Dr McAdams with unimpaired rank, tenure, compensation, and benefits." The Supreme Court issued a landmark ruling this week (7-2) in favour of the First Amendment. The Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission (CCRC) case was about cake artistry, free speech and religious freedom. The clear majority held that: "The Commission's actions, in this case, violated the Free Exercise Clause [of the First Amendment]." While not yet enacted into law, the fallout from the expected passage of California AB 2943 has begun as a Christian youth ministry cancels its planned summer conference in Los Angeles .   The youth ministry made the heartbreaking decision because many analysts suspect that the state’s controversial legislation will effectively end up banning any Christian teaching – whether written or spoken – which suggests that homosexuality and transgenderism are disordered in any way.    Summit Ministries , which had planned a 12-day student training conference at Biola University outside Los Angeles, decided to play it safe, choosing to cancel the event because of concerns that California will forbid some of what it teaches. The Church of England is torn over plans by The Episcopal Church (TEC) in the United States to efface the terms “husband” and “wife” – as well as references to “procreation” – from its marriage liturgy. The change is meant to make the church’s marriage ceremonies more “gay-friendly.” Gay and lesbian Episcopalians have complained that the language of the current liturgy is offensive and exclusionary. The move prompted a critical response from Church of England SecrSecretary-General liam Nye last October, strongly urging the TEC to reconsider. The letter threatened to cut ties with the U.S. church if it adopts the planned gender-neutral, replacing the current wording in its Book of Common Prayer . “The new service removes the phrase ‘the union of husband and wife’ and replaces it with ‘the union of two people,’” according to a report in the U.K. Telegraph . A pro- LGBT lawyer and homosexual doused himself with fossil fuels and burned himself to death on Saturday morning as part of an environmental protest. Some are calling his suicide a sign of " mental illness ." Many would agree. The lawyer was David Buckel, a 60-year-old who previously worked as the Marriage Project Director for Lambda Legal , a law firm that specializes in cases related to transgenderism, homosexuality, and same-sex “marriage.” Buckel was a homosexual and leaves behind a college-aged daughter, Hannah. He and his gay partner “co-parented Hannah with another couple, Rona and Cindy Vail,” the  New York Daily News  reported. The U.S. Air Force has reversed course after initially suspending and denying a promotion for a colonel who refused to sign a “certificate of appreciation” for one of his airmen’s same-sex “marriage.” In a letter sent to members of Congress on Monday, Air Force Secretary Heather Wilson confirmed the Air Force is restoring the command of Colonel Leland B.H. Bohannon, the Military Times   reported . Bohannon is commander of the Air Force Inspection Agency at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico, and a distinguished serviceman of more than 20 years. He flew combat missions in Afghanistan and Iraq, and has received numerous commendations such as the Bronze Star, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal , and the Air Medal. The United Nations published new “comprehensive” sex-ed guidelines for schools, taking its cues from Planned Parenthood to help teachers instruct kindergarteners in LGBTQIA + ideology and practice.
