Self centered homosexual politicians - lower people's trust

Image
A glance at today’s headlines shows that same-sex marriage is tearing our political class apart . For an issue that doesn’t even register as a concern with the average punter – it is number 16 on the priority list for the left-leaning GetUp! supporters – it is dominating politics. It is even threatening Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull’s leadership . At a time when most people are concerned about rising electricity prices, our political discourse has been hi-jacked by activists and their supporters in the media. Yes, poll results show support for same-sex marriage but people don’t want to be called bigots and have not thought through the consequences of change. They give a soft and uniformed “yes” to pollsters. That is why supporters of same-sex marriage are desperate to keep the Australian people from voting on the issue in the privacy of a polling booth where they can’t be branded “homophobes”. Same-sex marriage is of course not about marriage. A wise man once said “the issue is

Australia PM no to same-sex marriage

IS THIS MARRIAGE? Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull is discouraging a bill that would allow politicians to hold a conscience vote on immoral homosexual marriage because he said his political party would hold a plebiscite. Last month, homosexual  Senator Dean Smith and NSW homosexual MP Trent Zimmerman were working on a private members’ bill that they hoped to present to Parliament as soon as August. The bill was in defiance to their leader, self serving and arrogant towards the Australian people . When asked about the bill by reporters in Paris, The Sydney Morning Herald reports  that Turnbull said: “Dean crossed the floor against the plebiscite bill in the Senate so he’s got a longstanding view about it. And in our party room, members are entitled to raise what-ever issues they like.” “We support a plebiscite where all Australians will be given a vote on the matter,” Turnbull added. “It is critical that all Australians be given a say and the only reason they haven’t been

Australia: Who voted to decriminalize homosexual immorality?

Image
English: Paul Keating in 2007. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) The Australian Liberal party , somehow supported immoral homosexual decriminalization. In October 1973, former Liberal prime minister, John Gorton , moved the first motion in the federal parliament calling for the decriminalisation of homosexual activity by consenting adults in private. His motion passed, Labor's Paul Keating voted against it. The first piece of decriminalising legislation was sadly introduced by the Liberal Party, Murray Hill, in the South Australia Legislative Council in October 1972 because the then premier was homosexual. Federal Liberal attorney general, Bob Ellicott , reformed the ACT laws in 1976.  In 1993, Liberal Ted Pickering was the crucial vote securing anti-homosexual vilification legislation in New South Wales . He went on to be the police minister. In Queensland it was the Labor party that decriminalized immoral homosexuality in the 1980's.  So it appears that there is alw

Australia: Why are CEO's of large companies pushing immoral homosexual marriage?

Business leaders, like all Australians, are entitled to one vote in the plebiscite on same-sex marriage, promised by the Coalition at the election last year. They also are entitled to voice their opinions, as are those who disagree with them. Using influential brand names to bolster their case, however, especially without the full endorsement of companies’ owners or boards, is problematic. As Joe Kelly reports today, at least some of the chief executives who signed the letter to Malcolm Turnbull , handed to them by the Australian Marriage Equality lobby, calling on the government to legislate for same-sex marriage “in the near term’’, were speaking personally. Many board members, shareholders, staff and customers of the companies the chief executives run will probably disagree. Immigration Minister Peter Dutton had a point when he said those who wanted to be politicians should run for election. The chief executives’ letter claims same-sex marriage laws would be good for employ

Australian Christian Lobby welcomes gay marriage delay

Image
The Australian Christian Lobby has welcomed a significant delay in the introduction of same-sex marriage in the country. It's after Australian politicians refused to let the people decide whether same-sex marriage should be legalised. The Upper House voted down the ruling government's motion of a referendum on whether to amend current Australian marriage laws. It means a potential referendum cannot be voted on until the next parliamentary term which could be in 2019. Given that Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull 's ruling Liberal-National Coalition has consistently stated it wants to hold a referendum on the issue rather than pass it in parliament, it's unlikely a change in marriage law will now happen for the foreseeable future. Critics of the referendum proposal say the move is unnecessarily expensive when politicians can vote through the legislation themselves, and the debates surrounding the referendum could be divisive. Australian Academic confuses traditional marriage arguments as homophobic

Australia: Prime Minister Turnbull. The same-sex marriage debate turned nasty a long time ago by Karen Brooks This article is written by an academic K. Brroks who says:  "Reacting to Labor ’s reasons for blocking the plebiscite, primarily that it would fuel toxic debates potentially damaging the mental health of young people coming to terms with their sexuality, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull maintained that only a small minority would be “intemperate” and “cruel” about same-sex marriage. Turnbull’s wilfully ignorant insistence that the debate wasn’t going to become nasty would be offensive if he wasn’t right. It passed that milestone long ago." Karen Brooks then states the following; "The level of malice aimed at the LGBTQI community and the manner of crimes and social engineering of which they and their advocates are being accused, that’s what. It’s malevolent, misleading, and designed to cause maximum personal and cultural damage, often by representing o

An Australian politician advocating for gay marriage -my response in red The Fact My Daughter Can't Marry Is Unacceptable In 2016.  There is much being said about marriage equality and the plebiscite from both sides of the House. It is my view that this issue is fundamentally one of human rights and equality. Every citizen on this Earth deserves to be treated with dignity and respect and to have his or her human rights recognised and valued regardless of their race, religion, sexuality or culture. Except the fact that homosexuality is not a human right .  But for me, this is a deeply felt and personal issue. My husband and I have three wonderful children. The eldest is a young man who has a nine-year-old son and a four-week-old daughter; he is engaged to be married. Our second child is a daughter who is married and has two beautiful children; a seven-year-old daughter and a four-year-old son. And our youngest daughter is engaged to her same sex partner but ca

This is How the Homosexual Activists “Debate” – And This is How Democracy Dies

Image
What debate? What democracy? When Mark Steyn was last in Australia I of course paid close attention to what he had to say and took copious notes. One thing I recorded that especially stood out was this thought: “The Left does not want to win the debate, it wants to shut down the debate.” That is as accurate as you can get. And I know this from firsthand experience. I have been to numerous public meetings on topics such as marriage and family either as a speaker or a listener which the radical leftists and the homosexual activists sought to shut down, disrupt, and/or turn into mayhem. I have more than once even had to run the gauntlet, and be personally escorted into a venue by a line of police who had to keep the raging and hate-filled militants away from us. I have personally experienced being jostled and shoved by the angry activists, had things thrown at me, and abused me with all manner of foul and despicable language – all because I dared to think differently than

Australian printing company OPUS GROUP - rejects book opposing same-sex ‘marriage’

Image
An Australian printing company has refused to print a book arguing against same-sex “marriage.” Stealing from a Child : The Injustice of ‘ Marriage Equality ’   was written by Dr. David Van Gend, who is the head of the Australian Marriage Forum. “Marriage Equality” is the name the LGBT lobby is using to promote the legalization of same-sex “marriage” in the run-up to a national plebiscite on the issue set for February. Connor Court, the conservative publishing house that lists many books on the same sex “marriage” issue (at least one of them that supports same-sex “marriage” but from a conservative perspective), reported that the day before the Australia Marriage Forum began a series of book launches across the country, its printer, MacPherson’s, informed the publisher that it will not print the book. “Due to the subject matter and content of your book, unfortunately I have been instructed by senior management not to proceed with printing this title," Connor C

Printer intimidated by book?

Image
A printer has reportedly pulled out from publishing a book on same sex marriage written by a Toowoomba doctor because of its controversial subject matter. Television host Andrew Bolt , speaking on Sky News , said the printer had previously agreed to print the book, which argues against homosexual marriage . The book, named "Stealing From a Child: The Injustice of Marriage Equality" was written by Dr David van Gend and is due to be officially launched at a function in Brisbane tonight. groups are planning to protest the book, arguing it is inflammatory and denigrates gay people. The book has the support of the Australian Marriage Forum, of which Dr van Gend is president, and former Toowoomba councillor Lyle Shelton from the Australian Christian Lobby . Same Sex marriage threatens other's freedom

Image
It was disappointing to see the Shadow Attorney General assert that same-sex marriage posed no threat to other peoples’ freedoms, Australian Christian Lobby Managing Director Lyle Shelton said today. “Sadly the idea that redefining marriage and freedom for those who disagreed were “unrelated” had no basis in reality both overseas and here in Australia . Mr Dreyfus made the comments the Freedom for Faith conference in Melbourne yesterday. “There is a long list of people in the US, UK and Canada who have been fined, hauled before courts and demonised out of their jobs for their belief that marriage is between one man and one woman,” Mr Shelton said. “Here in Tasmania Archbishop Julian Porteous spent six months tied up in legal action before the Tasmanian Anti-Discrimination Commission after Australian Marriage Equality urged people to complain about his teaching on marriage. Mr Shelton said Mr Dreyfus was asked about the Trinity Western Law School in Canada who’s graduates

Homosexual marriage activists fail to condemn threats

Image
Marriage equality advocates have failed to condemn the behaviour of activists who made phone and social media threats, forcing a meeting of Christian opponents of gay marriage to be abandoned. The Accor hotels group confirmed on Friday that a meeting of about 100 people from groups including the Australian Christian Lobby , the Marriage Alliance, Sydney Anglicans and Sydney Catholics had been abandoned following threatening phone calls and social media posts that “rattled” employees and left the company concerned about the safety of staff and guests at the Mercure Sydney Airport hotel. A key argument used by Labor and Greens politicians and same-sex marriage advocates who oppose the government’s proposed plebiscite on the issue is that it will fuel “hate speech” against same-sex couples and their families. A statement from the meeting’s conveners alleged hotel staff had received “threats of violence” from same-sex marriage activists after details of the event were published on
