Gay activists urge UN to declare ‘reparative therapy’ a form of torture

(Photo credit: Wikipedia ) American activists against “ reparative therapy ” asked the UN Committee on Torture to define the practice as a form of torture and a violation of international law. At issue is the treatment sought by persons who struggle with unwanted same-sex desires. Many therapists still offer the treatment to those who ask for it, even though professional organizations for the therapeutic community say same-sex desire is not a form of mental illness and discourage this kind of therapy. Christians simply states: this locks people into sin. There is a movement in the United States to ban all such therapy by law. Already, New Jersey and California have banned reparative therapy for minors and the National Center for Lesbian Rights is campaigning for a nationwide ban in the next five years. It was this group that went to Geneva this week. The UN Committee on Torture is a treaty monitoring body that overs

BEYOND SAME-SEX MARRIAGE A NEW STRATEGIC VISION FOR ALL OUR FAMILIES & RELATIONSHIPS July 26, 2006 We, the undersigned – lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) and allied activists, scholars, educators, writers, artists, lawyers, journalists, and community organizers – seek to offer friends and colleagues everywhere a new vision for securing governmental and private institutional recognition of diverse kinds of partnerships, households, kinship relationships and families. In so doing, we hope to move beyond the narrow confines of marriage politics as they exist in the United States today. We seek access to a flexible set of economic benefits and options regardless of sexual orientation, race, gender/gender identity, class, or citizenship status. We reflect and honor the diverse ways in which people find and practice love, form relationships, create communities and networks of caring and support, establish households, bring families into being, and build innovative stru

LGBT agenda will not rest until they force everybody to believe their agenda

Having convinced over half the country that they're absolutely right in every way, they just can't settle for the minority of American Christians who still go by scripture. This is ligbitism at its core: If anyone doesn't like the LGBT agenda right down to gestational surrogacy and buying babies, then the ligbitists aren't happy. They need global transformation and control over every possible social institution in the world. They can't let the churches alone. They must conquer. These are the modern-day conquistadores, with grant applications instead of petitions to the crowns of Europe , with their own blacklists and inquisitions in the form of "discrimination investigations," and with the guns of the military and the spies of the US government now at their disposal. Juridical power precedes theological power. The ligbitists are careful to leave behind an ironclad legacy of court transcripts, proving beyond a doubt that people are born gay, that the l

Movements in England and France are beginning to counter the global LGBT ideology

Manuel (Photo credit: nexus6 ) Underground movements in England and France are beginning to counter the global LGBT ideology that has entrenched itself in the governments of First-World nations. On September 14, 2013, I had the privilege of attending the “ Summer University ” of the Manif pour Tous . The latter is the French grassroots movement that sprang up last year as a counterrevolution against President Hollande’s same-sex marriage law. While I had been involved in the Manif since January, it was at the September conference that I saw the larger picture of what is happening in Europe. This year I also traveled to Brussels, Strasbourg, and London for the first time, on a mission to forge a transnational alliance for children’s rights. Those who have defended marriage until now may feel beleaguered. They may be irritated with the press’s misconstruing of Pope Francis ’s multiple comments about compassion toward homosexuals. Nevertheless, Europe ought not to be cause for pessim

Children are used as shields for gay activists

An excerpt: "It's a lot harder to oppose something when you can see its face and you know its name," Cooper Smith Koch, whose Christmas card was sent to Texas Gov. Rick Perry , said. "That's why we're sending a holiday card to Governor Perry, so that he can see the faces of the citizens of Texas that are being harmed by inequality. And so that he can see the love that we have for our children and how it's the same as the love he has for his." Force little kids to sing and tapdance when they're young enough not to notice that you robbed them of their mom or dad. In fact, at this point, I take issue with Cooper Smith Koch's claim that his love for his kids is equal to the love of families with a mom and dad . It's  not  the same. One kind of love is a yearning on the adult's part for the presence of a dependent human being who has to reward the adult with a warm and fuzzy feeling. Another kind of love is setting aside what  you  wa
