UK House of Commons votes for immoral homosexuality against God Biblical prohibitions

Image
WESTMINSTER, May 23, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – “Saddening and damaging to the reputation of Parliament,” was what the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children called the 366 to 161 House of Commons vote on the government’s “gay marriage” bill last night. SPUC director John Smeaton added, “This result was no surprize as the bill has the support of all three main parties in the House of Commons. It is good to note that substantial opposition to it has been maintained.” SPUC is asking concerned voters to contact their MPs either to thank them for opposing the plan or to “point out that the bill negates the main reason for having laws in support marriage – for the benefit and welfare of children.” “It was a vote of ‘no confidence’ by MPs in real marriage – the foundation for stable family life and the safe, happy upbringing of children,” Smeaton added. Cameron splits his party & country over immoral homosexual marriage

A bill to legalise  gay marriage in Britain  has passed the country's parliament and will now go the country's upper house, the  House of Lords , for consideration. MPs voted 366 to 161 in favour of the bill. The vote followed a marathon debate on Monday in which  Mr Cameron  was forced to make a deal with the opposition  Labour party  to defeat a bid by his own Conservative MPs to scupper the bill. Cameron has effectively divided his own party and for what benefit: immorality! Right-wing Tories had proposed an amendment to allow heterosexual couples to form civil partnerships - a move that was condemned by Mr Cameron's office as a "wrecking amendment" that would have delayed the introduction of the new law. Although the motion was easily defeated with Labour's help, the depth of the  Conservatives'  divisions were made clear when 121  Tory MPs  backed a separate plan to allow officials to opt out of carrying out gay marriage. It too was defeate

Young Christians will be locked out of public professions by ‘gay marriage’, ministers warn

British House of Lords LONDON, May 20, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – Young Christians will be shut out of all public professions, including teachers, doctors, nurses or any kind of public servant if the “gay marriage” bill is passed, a group of religious leaders has warned the government. The ministers issued the warning in a letter to the Daily Telegraph on the same day that the government came to an agreement with opposition parties over amendments. The bill is expected to move past the committee stage and on to the House of Lords after two days of debate today and tomorrow. Should it be granted Royal Assent “in its present form,” the 17 Christian ministers said, the bill will “isolate hundreds of thousands of young students and workers across the country who hold a fuller view of marriage based on religion or a traditional view.” “These young people, from teenagers to 30-year-olds, will suffer discrimination and face new risks to their careers, and futures,” they added. WESTMINSTER , May 17, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – Pro-family campaigners are asking UK citizens to contact their MPs to ask that so that David Cameron 's gay “marriage” bill be defeated. Anthony Ozimic, communications manager for the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children told LifeSiteNews.com that the bill, which goes to a vote on third reading in the House of Commons on Tuesday, is considered likely to pass. On Monday, a series of amendments will be proposed for a vote by MPs, among which will be a call to defer the entire process until 2015 and put it to a public referendum. Another will call for heterosexual couples to be included in existing civil partnership provisions. But Ozimic said that SPUC has no position on any of these, and are concentrating on defeating the bill as a whole. The bill has been in committee since being brought forward and receiving a tentative go ahead by an overwhelming majority of MPs of all parties. It is scheduled to go to a vote ab

Catholic Church may have to get out of wedding business if UK backs gay 'marriage'

(Photo credit: Wikipedia ) British Parliamentarians heard this week that if David Cameron ’s Conservative/Liberal Democrat coalition government passes its same-sex “marriage” bill, the Catholic Church in England and Wales may be forced to entirely opt out of the civil aspect of conducting marriages. The government’s bill has passed by an overwhelming majority in the House of Commons and is now being studied by the Joint Committee on Human Rights . The committee heard on Tuesday from Professor Chris McCrudden, of Blackstone Chambers, the lawyer who advised the Roman Catholic Church on the bill. “The stakes could not be higher,” he said on Tuesday. Under the current wording of the bill, the “threat of litigation...would be enormous.” “If we want to keep the current  modus vivendi , it is imperative that unintended consequences that may undermine this system should be addressed now and not left until later,

Gay ‘marriage’ splits the Tories

(Photo credit: Wikipedia ) February 11, 2013 ( Mercatornet.com ) - David Cameron ’s same-sex marriage bill was voted on for the first time in the British Parliament on Tuesday. Confusingly, the debate and vote were called the “second” reading, as the first “reading” took place when the draft bill was laid before Parliament, giving members and everyone else their first opportunity to read the proposed legislation. At 50-odd pages long , the bill amends dozens of acts of Parliament stretching back to 1533. One would have thought that, for such a complex document with profound legislative consequences and social effects, not least for the established Church of England, parliamentarians would

UK Conservatives trounced in local elections: loss blamed on gay ‘marriage’ push

Image
LONDON, May 8, 2012 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – Homosexualist activists say they are disappointed today after the Cameron government ’s proposed “gay marriage” plans were not included in this morning’s Queen’s Speech in Parliament. Meanwhile, Conservative Party loyalists are saying the party’s  “gay marriage” push , along with the Liberal Democrats ’ plan to “reform” the House of Lords to make it an elected body, have cost both parties dearly in last week’s local elections. Observers are speculating that the results of the nation-wide local elections, which vote in representatives in county and municipal councils, have prompted a frantic rewriting of the government’s policies in time for this morning’s Queen’s Speech, the event that announces the government’s upcoming goals. While “gay marriage” was not mentioned in the Speech, Lords Reform is still officially on the table. However, the fate of the plan to redefine marriage remains unclear, with conflicting information emerging. Chanc
