WASHINGTON, D.C., October 18, 2012, ( LifeSiteNews.com ) - Today, Parents of Friends and Ex- Gays ( PFOX ) sent a letter to the Obama administration’s Center for Disease Control to remove links and references to websites that “spread intolerance” of “ex-gays” and Christians who support the religious testimony of former homosexuals . Some of the organizations market the homosexual lifestyle to children as young as 13. Among the anti-ex-gay organizations linked to is PFLAG ( Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays ), which openly denigrates former homosexuals. One of them, the anti-ex-gay publication Just the Facts, explicitly targets Christian ex-gay ministries. June 25, 2012 ( HLIAmerica.org ) - It was a distressing report from the Center for Disease Control — a May 2012 update on HIV and AIDS among gay and bisexual men. The report details the degree of HIV/AIDS infection in the population of men who have sex with men ( MSM ). Though the report is both startling and disturbing, I am compelled to first echo the Church’s teaching that unjust discrimination toward human beings , including those who have deep-seated homosexual inclinations, is never acceptable and most be decried wherever it occurs. Here are some of the sobering figures: Though they make up only 2 percent of the U.S. population, in 2009 MSM accounted for 61 percent of all new HIV infections in the United States and 79 percent of all infections among newly infected men. In 2010, this rate of diagnosis among MSM

During the same time frame, syphilis rates among the general population fell by 1.6%. CDC data “show a significant increase in syphilis among young black men who have sex with men ( MSM ), suggesting that new infections among MSM are driving the increase in young black men,” the CDC report stated. “The finding is particularly concerning as there has also been a sharp increase in HIV infections among this population.” The CDC has estimated that practicing homosexual men account for 61% of the new HIV infections in the United States , driven by an alarming increase in new infections among young black homosexual men - a 48 percent increase in the period of 2006-2009. “Studies suggest that people with gonorrhea, chlamy
