Bill banning boys who say they’re girls from women’s sports passes Arizona House

Image
The Arizona House voted 31-29 Tuesday to pass legislation ensuring that female school athletes will only compete against other females rather than gender-confused boys who claim to be girls. House Bill 2706, the “Save Women's Sports Act,” would allow participants in high-school girls and college women’s athletics to dispute the biological sex of an athlete they suspect of actually being male, who would then have to produce a signed doctor’s statement confirming that genetic testing has identified them as female, CBS 5 reported. Accusers would also be shielded from retaliation. "Women are being displaced in their own sport. The playing field is no longer level," said Republican state Rep. Nancy Barto, the bill’s author. Calling the proposed requirement “cruel,” opponents of the bill claim it could open up transgender students to bullying – a charge Barto rejects. "I would say they're really not looking at the true motive of the bill. It's not singl

Biden unveils ominous ‘LGTBQ+ equality’ plan to compel institutions to ‘enforce…advance’ gay ‘rights’

Image
Former Vice President and current Democrat presidential frontrunner Joe Biden released his official “LGBTQ+ equality” plan this week, a comprehensive document laying out how he would elevate homosexual and transgender “acceptance” above religious liberty and conscience rights if elected to the White House. “As President, Biden will stand with the LGBTQ+ community to ensure America finally lives up to the promise on which it was founded: equality for all,” the plan declares. “He will provide the moral leadership to champion equal rights for all LGBTQ+ people, fight to ensure our laws and institutions protect and enforce their rights, and advance LGBTQ+ equality globally.” First, the plan lists as a “top priority” enacting the so-called  Equality Act , which would amend the 1964 Civil Rights Act to include “sex,” “sexual orientation,” and “gender identity” among expressly recognized “non-discrimination” categories in “public accommodations” (the definition of which would be dram

Ballarat Christian college settles teacher with LGBT agenda

Image
Ballarat Christian College in southeast Australia can now retain its Statement of Faith defining marriage as a union between a man and woman as a result of a settlement it reached with a former pro-same-sex marriage teacher. The teacher, an American LGBT advocate did not disclose her liberal Biblical views to the school when applying for her teaching position. She persisted in violating the school ethical code and the school's biblical code until she was sacked. Then violating scripture she took the school to Court.  Her pretension was exposed but because there are no religious freedom laws, it is the school that pays the penalty for such non-biblical behaviour.  The school has now been manipulated by an LGBT advocate claiming she has the Christian faith. As part of the settlement, the Christian college in Victoria will pay an undisclosed amount as payout and give a positive employment reference to Rachel Colvin, who filed the lawsuit backed by LGBT rights group Equality Aus

Christians muzzled by pro LGBT RA

Christian Wallabies players have blasted Rugby Australia, saying they 'felt muzzled' and were not allowed to publicly support their teammate Israel Folau before he was sacked for posting homophobic messages to Instagram. Senior Wallabies Sekope Kepu and Samu Kerevi both supported Folau after his social media posts about homosexuals being condemned to hell when they died. Folau's lucrative contract was torn up by Rugby Australia boss Raelene Castle before he launched legal action and reached a multi-million dollar settlement in December.   Kerevi and Kepu wrote affidavits submitted to the Federal Circuit Court of Australia in support of Folau in November, which were later obtained by The Australian.  In the documents both men state they were 'muzzled' by Rugby Australia when they felt they were prevented from speaking with the media over the Folau saga.  'My perception was that the media was briefed to approach people who would toe the 'anti-Isra

Aussie teammates ‘blocked’ from supporting Israel Folau

Senior Australian rugby players felt unable to publicly support teammate Israel Folau due to pressure from the sport’s governing body, according to an Australian newspaper.  Folau’s playing contract was terminated over a social media post quoting the Bible.  He later reached a settlement with Rugby Australia (RA) and received an apology. Support It has been reported that senior internationals Sekope Kepu and Samu Kerevi submitted statements in support of Folau to the Federal Circuit Court of Australia in November. But both players felt that they were prevented from speaking to the media about the case by RA. Kerevi wrote that Folau was being punished for simply “expressing his faith” and the treatment was inconsistent with discipline for other players. He added: “At the time I wanted to support Israel publicly. I couldn’t because the players were told by management not to comment on the issue.” Religious beliefs RA chief Raelene Castle has denied the claims.  In December

Ministers question controversial changes to transgender law: The Times

Ministers are reconsidering plans to make changing legal sex much easier, following concerns about the impact the changes would have on children, according to The Times. Currently, anyone wanting to legally ‘change sex’ is required to have lived as if a member of the opposite sex for two years and be approved by a specialist panel before they can receive a Gender Recognition Certificate and a new birth certificate. In 2018, the Government consulted on proposals to allow people to change sex simply by declaring themselves to be the opposite sex. ‘Protecting children’ The consultation results has been delayed significantly amid strong opposition from women’s groups and those concerned with the impact on children, but ministers are set to publish their findings in the summer. A Government source told The Times newspaper: “While we believe adults should be able to live their lives, and trans rights should be respected and protected, the government also has a role to play in pro

New York City to repeal ban on gay 'conversion therapy' amid legal battle

Image
The New York city council is planning to repeal a two-year-old ban on “gay conversion therapy” to avoid a costly uphill legal fight. The city’s openly gay Council Speaker Corey Johnson introduced a bill to repeal a measure passed in 2017 banning the sale of “services intended to change a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity.”  With a conservative-leaning U.S. Supreme Court makeup, Johnson doesn’t seem to want the law to be tested in the legal system. He vowed that the council would act quickly to repeal the law.  Obviously I didn’t want to repeal this,” Johnson was quoted as saying. “I don’t want to be someone who is giving in to these right-wing groups. But the Supreme Court has become conservative; the Second Circuit, which oversees New York, has become more conservative.” The city's ban is being challenged by the conservative religious freedom legal group Alliance Defending Freedom, which has won nine Supreme Court cases in the last seven years.  ADF’s law
