LGBT activists demand removal of priest for warning against gay ‘Pride’ events

Image
LGBT activists have launched a  mail campaign  asking a bishop to immediately remove a priest who cautioned his parishioners against attending so-called “Pride” events. An online  form letter  composed by the activists claims that Fr. Robert Chisholm of St. Gregory the Great Parish in Picton, Ontario, “went against what Pope Francis has repeatedly spoken about: the need for the Catholic Church to welcome and love all people regardless of sexual orientation. Father Chisholm is directly contradicting papal edict with this statement.” No distinction is made in the letter between loving all people “regardless of sexual orientation” and the often vile demonstrations of nudity and simulated homosexual and sadomasochistic acts at Pride events that even  self-identifying gays  find to be a source of “horror” and “shame.” Despite Pope Francis’s now famous question asked early in his pontificate, “Who am I to judge?,” the Holy See has again  affirmed  that the complementary nature of m

Israel Folau and Religious Freedom

Image
The success or failure of Israel Folau’s claim against Rugby Australia rests on one central, unresolved legal question. Just how far does somebody’s right to religious expression extend ? Amid all the drama and fury of the broader debate, it is easy to forget that Folau’s case is about something as dry as employment contract law.  Many of the questions Australians have argued over so vociferously in recent days — for instance, whether Folau is justified in asking the public for donations — will simply have no bearing on the final outcome. So what will? How will this argument actually be decided?  Professor Anthony Forsyth,  an expert in workplace law  at RMIT University, to better understand the key elements of the case. RUGBY AUSTRALIA’S ARGUMENT Rugby Australia terminated Folau’s contract in May after a tribunal found he had breached its code of conduct with an Instagram post telling gay people, along with others “living in sin”, that they would go to hell unless they

Catholic school fires gay teacher - finally adheres to Bible doctrine as requested by Indianapolis Archdiocese

Image
A Catholic high school in Indiana has announced it will “separate” with a teacher who is homosexual, in what administrators called an “agonizing decision" - which is a pretense in the sense they violated Bible doctrine. Schools must decide if they follow God's word or the culture teaching of people like Lady Gaga. That's it - so simple! The move came after 22 months of “earnest and extensive dialogue” between Cathedral High School and the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, which has threatened to strip away Catholic identity — and funding — from several schools in the area that employ people who are not heterosexual. Scripture is clear and the fact that the school hesitates clearly implies the school administration is also ignoring other moral issues central to the faith. Last week, Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School was cut off by the archdiocese after refusing to fire a teacher who is married to someone of the same sex. The school’s president, Rob Bridges, and the chai

GoFundMe axes Christian rugby star’s $500k fundraiser, showing need for alternative WonderWe

Image
A popular fundraising website has canceled a fundraiser for a Christian rugby player who was fired for his religious beliefs about sexual sin, making the Christian-friendly  WonderWe  site even more relevant to social conservatives.   Today GoFundMe shut down a webpage soliciting donations towards the legal fees of Tongan-Australian athlete Israel Folau. Folau was dismissed by Rugby Australia (RA) in May for social media posts his critics said showed hatred for people with same-sex attractions.  The sports star is bringing a suit against RA, arguing that their decision was motivated by religious discrimination. Folau and  his wife Maria , also a professional athlete, say that they have already spent $100,000 Australian ($70,000 US) on legal fees.  A popular fundraising website has canceled a fundraiser for a Christian rugby player who was fired for his religious beliefs about sexual sin, making the Christian-friendly  WonderWe  site even more relevant to social conservatives

Police interrogate, collect DNA from French politician over ‘homophobic’ tweets

Image
A city counselor from Saint-Germain-en-Laye, a large town to the west of France where many kings had their residence since the 11th century, was summoned by police last week and submitted to DNA collecting because she was accused by Internet watchdogs of publishing a series of “homophobic” tweets. Agnès Cerighelli, 53, who claims to be a member of French president Emmanuel Macron’s “La République en Marche” (LREM) Party, is now under heavy fire from the mainstream press, which is calling her “crazy.” Cerighelli’s Twitter account contains a large number of messages condemning the influence of the “LGBT lobby.” She also regularly denounces legal access to medically assisted procreation for lesbians, which the LREM intends to push through Parliament, probably before the summer recess. She also makes no mystery of her Catholic beliefs. Cerighelli is an opposition counselor without official political affiliation and makes clear her support for Macron, which is a paradox, t

Loving homosexuals, transgenders means telling them the dangers of LGBT behavior

Left-wing groups, such as Right Wing Watch (RWW) and The Slowly Boiled Frog (TSBF), are in a dither over Christian groups’ opposition to the California legislature’s ACR-99, a resolution that calls on religious leaders  “to counsel on LGBT matters from a place of love, compassion, and knowledge of the psychological and other harms of conversion therapy.” They accuse Christian groups of overstating — and even outright lying about — the force of the resolution. Specifically, TSBF criticizes an analysis from the Family Policy Council (FPC). TSBF labeled as...something I won’t repeat...the FPC statement that ACR-99 is a new twist on a previous bill that “tried to keep pastors from counseling about biblical sexuality.” Granted, a resolution does not hold the same force as a bill . A resolution is more like a suggestion than a command. But in any legislative body, one of the primary purposes of a non-binding resolution is political persuasion, a simple attempt by a group of member

Female track and field records falling - LGBT agenda

Image
Female high school and college track and field records are dropping like flies. A single college athlete now holds ten separate college track championships for women. In Connecticut, two athletes have gone head to head for two years in a row in several events, seemingly smashing female records at every matchup. What accounts for this assault on the record books? Is it improved training? Advanced racing techniques? Better equipment? It's none of these things. Female athletic records are falling because biological men are being allowed to compete against girls and women. And the men are dominating the competition. In their politically-correct desire to accommodate all things LGBT, many high school and college athletic federations now allow men to compete against girls and women with no restrictions simply by declaring that they "identify" as a female. The consequences of this go well beyond political correctness, however. They go to the core of our decades-long societ
