African-American church leader pays price for opposing restroom ordinance

Image
An African-American pastor who stood up for bathroom privacy says he has been attacked personally and professionally by gay activists determined to crush his business and turn his life into “chaos.” Bishop Kenneth Adkins, overseer at Greater Dimensions Christian Fellowship in Brunswick, Georgia, publicly opposed a Jacksonville city ordinance that would allow biological men to use women's bathrooms. At one point, he posted a picture of himself with a wig on Facebook and threatened to demonstrate against the transgender ordinance in drag. He said the citizens of Jacksonville should vote on whether to expand the city's Human Rights Ordinance rather than leaving the decision with city council members. At the third and final public hearing on the city ordinance in December, Adkins received applause when he   said , “We live in a time that Christians need a law passed to protect them. It’s crazy because we can no longer say what we believe.” The Jacksonville City Counci

Man arrested after allegedly filming girls in Target dressing room

Image
A 22-year-old man was arrested and charged with violation of privacy last week after he allegedly recorded underage girls in a Target changing room. The incident allegedly took place at a New Hampshire Target store on June 22, just days after the two-month anniversary of the retail giant’s announcement of a new policy allowing biological men to access women’s restrooms and dressing rooms and vice versa. According to the Bedford Police Department , the man was Zachary Bishop of Raymond, New Hampshire. He fled the Target store before the police arrived but subsequently turned himself in after police issued a warrant for his arrest.    The arrest comes amid fears that the transgender bathroom policies sweeping the nation, like that adopted at Target, provide easier access for predators. Bishop would not be the first person to take advantage of the broad-reaching policies.  In February, a Seattle man entered a swimming pool   changing room and undressed in front of a young gi

Sacramento diocese allows Catholic parish to show transgender activist film

Image
A Catholic parish recently screened a film spotlighting “gender identity,” the presentation of which its diocese says did not controvert Church teaching. The LGBT and Adult Faith Formation ministries of Sacramento’s St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church hosted  Call Me Malcolm  on June 22. The film was billed by the parish as a “down-to-earth, non-threatening and wholesome film” about a “transgendered man in his first year of United Church of Christ seminary.” The 90-minute documentary was written by a United Church of Christ (UCC) minister and produced in 2005 by the UCC. It follows Miriam, now “Malcolm,” a UCC seminary student who had undergone “sex reassignment” surgery and travels around meeting with other “transgender” individuals. “ Call Me Malcolm   is an amazing story of the human spirit and God's spirit, and the liberating struggle to realize and express with confidence the marvelous gift of one's truest sense of self,” the UCC’s information says of the f

Bakery Allegedly Rejects Lesbian Couple's Birthday Cake Order

Image
The owner of an Ohio bakery reportedly canceled a woman’s birthday cake order after she discovered that the customer was in a same-sex marriage. Candice Lowe tells ABC 13 that she was on her honeymoon in Florida when she says she received a text message from LeGresha Fizer-Brown, who owns Toledo’s Take the Cake Bakery, nixing her order for her wife Amanda’s birthday cake. In the July 4 message, Fizer-Brown allegedly told Lowe that her business does “not do cakes for same-sex weddings or parties.” “Candice, I’m sorry…I just realized your [sic] in a same sex relationship,” Fizer-Brown reportedly wrote in the text message . “I wasn’t aware of this exactly until I saw your page.” The Lowes, who were married just two weeks ago, said they “just wanted to cry” when they received the text. Candice Lowe later posted the alleged message to her Facebook page, and a screenshot appears on the progressive news site, Peacock Panache . Bakeries and other wedding-related venues have become an

Obama Transgender Directive Draws Lawsuits From More States

Image
States were warned that they could lose federal funding if they required transgender people to use bathrooms corresponding to their biological sex. Ten states including Nebraska, Michigan and Ohio sued the Obama administration on Friday, saying the federal government does not have the power to tell states that transgender people must be allowed to use public bathrooms that conform with their gender identity. The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska, takes issue with a May 13 letter sent by the U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Department of Education to states warning them that they could lose federal funding if they required transgender people to use bathrooms corresponding to their biological sex. The lawsuit says the Obama administration’s move was an attempt to rewrite federal civil rights laws that do not apply to transgender people. It was filed by the attorneys general of the 10 states, which also include Arkansas, Kansas, Montana, North Dakota

How a rolling sexual revolution is crushing freedom

Image
When German writer and public speaker Gabriele Kuby talks about the effects of the West’s student revolution of 1968 she knows her stuff. She was there, at the Free University of Berlin, studying sociology and gung-ho with the anti-authoritarianism of the era. There has been a revolution in her own life since then and she now devotes her public work to raising consciousness about the cultural devastation being wrought by the ongoing sexual revolution. In the following Q&A she talks about her book on the subject, an English edition of which was published last December . * * * * * Q. In your book,   The Global Sexual Revolution   – Destruction of Freedom in the Name of Freedom,   you   report and warn about the destruction of freedom and culture through the global sexual revolution. Why is this so? A.   As sex goes, so goes the family. As the family goes, so goes society. Sexual norms have a decisive influence on the whole cultural edifice. The anthropolgist J.D. Unwin,

Gay activist who works in Catholic school board battles Church’s ‘entrenched homophobia’

Image
A woman who describes herself as “gay and Christian” and who says that the Catholic Church is a place of “entrenched homophobia” has been giving keynote addresses in Toronto Catholic schools.  Her message: LGBTQ individuals need to “live their truths,” same-sex activity is “love,” and Jesus likely hung out with “lots of queers and gays.”  What an incredible lie!  Homosexual activist Jenna Tenn-Yuk writes on her blog that she has been working within Toronto’s Catholic board for quite some time. Last May, she gave the keynote presentation during a “Health and Wellness Day” held at the all-girls Loretto College School. Tenn-Yuk wrote on her blog how she almost “couldn’t believe" how welcoming the Catholic school was, adding that such welcome could only help Catholic girls who “identify on the LGBTQ+ spectrum” and who are thinking about coming “out.” Tenn-Yuk wrote on her   blog   that she shared with about 500 girls during her presentation some of her own spoken word p
