Obama militant homsexual agenda

Image
WASHINGTON, D.C. , February 25, 2013, ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – Completing the turn against traditional marriage he began more than two years ago, President Barack Obama filed a brief asking the Supreme Court to strike down the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). The administration has placed access to taxpayer-subsidized benefits and tax breaks – as well as its belief the homosexuals deserve a special place as an underprivileged minority group – at the heart of its legal argument. Solicitor General Donald Verrilli filed the amicus curiae brief urging the court to declare Section 3 of DOMA unconstitutional on multiple grounds, including an alleged violation of equal protection under the law. The 54-page document also claims the justices must give greater deference to homosexuals, because “gay and lesbian people are a minority group with limited political power.” The decision acknowledges that voters in three states – Maine, Maryland, and Washington – democratically approved marri

Obama to Supreme Court: Denying homosexuals special rights, quotas is 'discrimination'

WASHINGTON, D.C. , February 26, 2013, ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – The fact that Americans have regularly voted against such pillars of the homosexual agenda as granting homosexuals special rights in hiring or college admission quotas is proof that gays and lesbians face discrimination, according to the Obama administration 's amicus curiae brief seeking to overturn the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). Under the section “ Gay and lesbian people have been subject to a history of discrimination,” the administration cites a number of laws, most of them repealed decades ago, as well as the results of “voter referenda.” The Justice Department document notes that attempts to add sexual preference to civil rights ordinances have “engendered significant political backlash, as evidenced by a series of successful state and local ballot initiatives, starting in the 1970s, repealing [an] anti-discrimination...law or executive order.” “In 15 of these 21 cases, a majority voted to repeal the law o

Obama administration: Homosexuals cannot change their sexual orientation?

According to the Obama administration, “the broad consensus in the scientific community is that, for the vast majority of people (gay and straight alike), sexual orientation is not a voluntary choice.” The brief also asserts that the medical profession has determined that “efforts to change an individual’s sexual orientation are generally futile and potentially dangerous

HOMOSEXUALITY: IS THE BIBLE CULTURALLY OUTDATED?

Image
For better or worse, the Bible is a cultural text. And people are struggling today with how to read it. Magazines like Newsweek are informing the general public (and in this particular case advocating) that the Bible is culturally obsolete and outdated. Here is an excerpt from the December 2008 cover story The Religious Case for Gay Marriage by Lisa Miller:   Most of us no longer heed Leviticus on haircuts or blood sacrifices; our modern understanding of the world has surpassed its prescriptions. Why would we regard its condemnation of homosexuality with more seriousness than we regard its advice, which is far lengthier, on the best price to pay for a slave?… A mature view of scriptural authority requires us, as we have in the past, to move beyond literalism. The Bible was written for a world so unlike our own, it’s impossible to apply its rules, at face value, to ours. For some Christians , this is where appeals to blind faith or personal feeling come in—but these responses do

Pro Homosexual advocates constantly lie

Image
The "big lie" that same-sex marriage is supposedly "inevitable." By telling us that it's inevitable we'll lose, gay marriage advocates are pursuing a strategy designed to encourage our surrender. One of the tactics that homosexual advocates have taken to advance their "inevitability" strategy in recent months is aimed right at a core element of our base of supporters — people who consider themselves Republicans. Just last week a coalition of gay groups including the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) began an advertising campaign touting statements from various former GOP officials like Colin Powell and Dick Cheney . Perhaps Laura Bush , who was also featured in the ad from the mis-named "Respect for Marriage" coalition, didn't get the memo on inevitability. Immediately after learning that she had been featured in their ad, she demanded that her image and comments be removed. The HRC coalition had little choice but to comply. Thi

Tebow's pastor: 'Pray for Tim,' but where does he stand on homosexuality?

But Tim did not take a stand and withdrew because of the pressure of the secular media calling him a homosexual bigot. Mac Brunson , senior pastor of First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Fla., is the former pastor of First Baptist Dallas. In 2006 Brunson left Dallas to lead the downtown Jacksonville megachurch, where the Tebow family are members. Tebow announced via twitter Feb. 21 he would not speak April 28 at the Texas church's grand opening celebration of its new, $130 million campus in downtown Dallas. "I will continue to use the platform God has blessed me with to bring Faith, Hope and Love to all those needing a brighter day," Tebow tweet

No public mandate for same-sex marriage in NZ - poll

Image
A poll of New Zealanders has found that only 47% now believe that Parliament should change the definition of marriage, and 43% believe that civil unions are sufficient for same sex couples . The poll also found strong support for laws protecting celebrants, churches and schools if the law is still pushed through. Almost half of NZ 'ers believe there should be a Referendum on the issue. In the poll of 1,000 people undertaken by Curia Market Research this month, respondents were asked: "In 2004, Parliament legislated to allow same sex couples to register a civil union, amending over 150 pieces of legislation to give legal rights and recognition to same-sex couples. Do you think Parliament should change the definition of marriage to allow same-sex couples to marry, or do you think civil unions are sufficient for same sex couples?" Only 47% said that Parliament should change the definition of marriage to allow same-sex couples to marry and 43% said they believed
