Obama forces people against their conscience

Image
The Obama administration has revoked nearly all of the conscience protections put in place by the administration of President George W. Bush . The policy change came on Friday, and was released as a new rule from the Department of Health and Human Services .   As Rob Stein of The Washington Post reports, “The Obama administration rescinded most of a federal regulation Friday designed to protect health workers who refuse to provide care they find objectionable on personal or religious grounds.” In this case, “most” means almost all of the previous rule has been rescinded. Stein described the action by stating that the Obama administration had “eliminated nearly the entire rule.” All that remains are protections put in place previously covering medical personnel who object to abortion or sterilization.  Gone are all protections for those who object by conscience to abortifacient drugs and “emergency” contraceptives, the treatment of gay men and lesbians, and prescriptions for bi

Gays object to chicken sandwiches

Image
Image via Wikipedia Author: Churck Colson. Is giving away chicken sandwiches an act of homophobic bigotry? According to certain homosexual groups and websites, it is: when you give away sandwiches to people attending a conference on  marriage .You heard that right.  Gay-rights groups are slandering and boycotting the well-known national fast-food chain Chick-fil-A — you know, the one that says we should “eat more chicken.” That’s because one of its restaurants decided to donate some sandwiches to a February marriage conference sponsored by the Pennsylvania Family Institute, which opposes so-called gay “marriage.” That’s it. There was absolutely no attempt to exclude anyone or to engage in gay-bashing. Responding to the boycott and the attacks, Chick-fil-A, which according to the The New York Times is “among only a handful of large American companies with conservative religion built into its corporate ethos,” says that it serves and values all people and treats “everyone with hon

iPhone confession app attacked by Homosexuals

Image
Image via Wikipedia The leaders of homosexualist groups have castigated an iPhone app for listing homosexual activity as a sin that Catholics should confess - something one gay leader said amounts to “spiritual abuse.” “ Confession : A Roman Catholic App” has shot to popularity since the debut of its newest version this year. The application, designed to help Catholics prepare for the sacrament of confession, includes among its questions: “Have I been guilty of any homosexual activity?” Wayne Besen, executive director of Truth Wins Out , said the mention of homosexual sin would “create neurotic individuals who are ashamed of who they are.” “This is cyber spiritual abuse that promotes backward ideas in a modern package,” he said. “Gay Catholics don’t need to confess, they need to come out of the closet and challenge anti-gay dogma. The false idea that being gay is something to be ashamed of has destroyed too many lives. This iPhone app is facilitating and furthering the harm.”

'Freedom to Marry' mask aggressive Homosexual agenda

Image
Image via Wikipedia The largest-ever national public campaign to sway Americans towards same-sex “ marriage ” launched today, Valentine’s Day , with a media blitz of TV , radio, and online ads. Last Wednesday, the homosexualist group Freedom to Marry announced the launch of “Why Marriage Matters,” a campaign that features homosexual and heterosexual couples side by side, saying why marriage matters to them.   The organization has pledged to raise and spend $10 million over the next three years on the campaign, which will launch with an initial national cable buy on CNN .  The Freedom to Marry campaign, founded in 2003, aims to deconstruct the legal definition of marriage as between a man and a woman across the United States . “Across the country the thinking of many Americans, from the president to the people next door, continues to – as President Obama put it – ‘evolve’ toward support for same-sex couples joining in the freedom to marry.   Freedom to Marry’s team has crunche

Christian employment policies with gays

Image
Image via Wikipedia In December, Congress and President Obama ended the era of Don't Ask, Don't Tell ( DADT ) in the United States military . Today, American political culture is far more open to gay members of the armed forces than it was in 1993, when President Clinton created his famous compromise. In civilian life, Don't Ask, Don't Tell attitudes are also fading. Once, this quiet accommodation to the presence of gays in our midst afforded the luxury of ambiguity, allowing heterosexuals to be friendly and supportive of gay coworkers, friends, and family without having to deal head-on with their sexuality.  In order to be good neighbors, evangelical Christians have often chosen not to deal with the subject, making mental distinctions between their personal beliefs and their family and community relationships. But Christian institutions—colleges, campus ministries, publishers, and aid organizations among them—can no longer enjoy the ambiguity that DADT attitudes tra

lady Gaga pushes the idea of "Born this way."

Image
Image by SpreePiX - Berlin via Flickr (Walt Meuller on Lady Gaga) Lady Gaga song dropped onto our pop culture landscape just a few short hours ago. The trend-setting and cutting-edge pop star who - at every turn - sends shivers up the spines of anyone and everyone (either shivers of great, liberating joy. . . shivers of great fear and distress. . . or shivers of something in between)told us all back at the 2010 MTV VMA 's that this was going to happen sometime soon.  Today, the first single release and title track from her new album - "Born This Way" - is out. . . and it's probably the biggest thing happening in the world of pop culture. That's no exaggeration. While the video is yet to be released, this morning's release of the audio track is a teaser for her live performance of the song which is scheduled for Sunday night's Grammy Awards . The video release will be even bigger. One young fan posted this reaction to the song on a message board:

Same-sex adoptions spells abuse

Image
Image via Wikipedia Author: Bill Meuhlenberg The push for same-sex parenting rights is constantly on the boil. Right now the New South Wales government hasjust passed a homosexual adoption bill in the Lower House . As usual, the well-being of children is not the focus, but the selfish wants of adults. Children are just guinea pigs in this radical social experiment. Indeed, one must recall why adoption laws have been established in the first place. Because young children are so vulnerable, the aim of adoption has been to provide the child in question with a secure, permanent, legal family.  The paramount concern in adoption has been the best interests of the child . Thus only the best families have been allowed to adopt, not just “good enough” families.  The issue of homosexual fostering is really all about homosexual rights, not the interests and needs of children. Can a homosexual couple love and nurture a child? Undoubtedly many can. But that is not the issue. As the former v
