Massive Mexico City pro-family march protests gay ‘marriage,’ gender ideology

Image
Hundreds of thousands of demonstrators marched through the heart of Mexico City on Saturday to protest a proposed constitutional amendment to create   homosexual “marriage” and adoption in Mexico as well as plans to impose sex education inspired by gender ideology . The marchers walked from the National Auditorium down the city’s main avenue, the Paseo de la Reforma , to the Angel of Independence , one of the most important monuments of the city. Although city officials estimated attendance at 20,000, march organizers and Church officials cited estimates of 400,000-450,000. Drone video provided by organizers indicated a large crowd stretching down the Paseo de la Reforma, but the video did not include a flyover of the entire march route. Demonstrators dressed in the customary white shirts of Mexico’s pro-family movement chanted and held signs with such slogans as “You can see it, you can feel it, the family is defending itself,” “The family, united, will never be defeated,

Johns Hopkins Psychiatrist: ‘There Is No Gay Gene’

Dr. Paul R. McHugh, the Distinguished Service Professor of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University and former psychiatrist–in-chief for Johns Hopkins Hospital, who has studied sexuality for 40 years, said it is a scientific fact that “there is no gay gene.” “Environment,” however, “is very important,” said Dr. McHugh, author of The Mind Has Mountains: Reflections on Society and Psychiatry . He also explained that the permissive sexual culture in the United States today has confused “desire” with “love,” and that homosexuality is a false or “erroneous desire.” In an interview with Virtue Online: The Voice for Global Orthodox Anglicanism , reporter Lydia Evans asked Dr. McHugh, “How do you view the popular assumption that science has somehow proven that sexual orientation is determined early in childhood, if not before birth?” Dr. McHugh, who ended the sexual reassignment surgery program at Johns Hopkins because it was not helping the patients, answered, “Well, as I have said, the

Obama admin cannot force Christian funeral home to employ a transgender undertaker, judge rules

The Obama administration has been handed a significant legal loss, as a federal judge ruled that it could not force a Christian business owner to employ a transgender man who dresses as a woman. The judge's decision also questioned the administration’s reason for filing the lawsuit. The Obama administration’s Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) sued a Detroit-area funeral home that would not allow an undertaker to dress as a woman while interacting with grieving customers. In 2006, R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home in Garden City hired Anthony Stephens as an undertaker. As part of the process, he agreed to abide by its dress code of white shirts and dark suits for men. But in July 2013, Stephens wrote a letter to his employer saying that he would begin dressing as a female at work and would now be known by the name Aimee. He was subsequently fired. The EEOC said that action violated the 1964 Civil Rights Act’s prohibition of sex discrimination, “because t

Chilean gvmt ‘will not oppose’ gay adoption

With the collaboration of the socialist government of Michele Bachelet, homosexual organizations expect to win approval for gay couples to adopt children, in the reform of the Chilean adoption system that the Legislature will carry out during the upcoming months. During the last days of June and the first week of July, there have been meetings of the Minister of Justice, Javiera Blanco, with the homosexual lobby to address the legalization of adoption of children by homosexuals. One of the meetings happened on June 29, with the   Movimiento de Integración y Liberación Homosexual   (Movilh, in the Spanish acronym), and the other on July 3, with the Fundación Iguales. “The minister said she is favorable and explained that, should the government be consulted about the matter, it will make a positive pronouncement. This is very important in a moment when the Congress is debating a reform of the   Adoption Law ,” claimed Rolando Jiménez, an activist of Movilh, in   declarations   to t
