Homosexual monogamous relationships and Sodom and Gomorrah

Image
Objection Stated The story of Sodom and Gomorrah is irrelevant to homosexuality because it does not address loving, monogamous relationships . It is only decrying gang rape and violence , nothing else. Biblical Response Surely there is everything wrong with violence, whether sexual or not. And there is everything wrong with gang rape as well. But to note that these things are wrong does not explain many of the issues in the narrative of Genesis 19 , as well as the rest of the Bible’s references to Sodom and Gomorrah.  There was no violence on the part of the crowd until Lot identified their desires as wicked. Was Lot wrong to identify homosexual desires for these men as wicked? And was Peter wrong to interpret the story from Genesis as involving daily ungodliness on the part of the Sodomites? Are we to assume the Sodomites engaged in daily gang rapes, or is it apparent that it was their lifestyle that tormented his soul? The insertion of the concept of “monogamous, loving ho

Angel sex not homosexual sex?

Image
Lot leaving Sodom, Woodcut from the Nuremberg Chronicle (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Objection Stated   The references to Sodom in Jude and 2 Peter do not condemn homosexuality. Jude speaks of desiring “ strange flesh ,” and Peter refers only to sexual immorality, not to homosexuality. Some assert that the sin of the Sodomites in Jude consisted of a desire to have sexual relations with angels. Both passages show us that the attempt to connect the Genesis story with homosexuality lacks the support of New Testament writers. Biblical Response The two passages under consideration are Jude 6–7 and 2 Peter 2:4–10. Jude writes,   6 And angels who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode, He has kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day. 7 Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example in undergoin

Did Jesus ever speak about homosexuality

Image
Sodom and Gomorrha, Alte Pinakothek, Room 23 (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Objection Stated   Jesus mentioned Sodom and Gomorrah , but never connected the Sodom story with anything relevant to homosexuality. Instead, He connected Sodom and Gomorrah to inhospitality, proving that the traditional interpretation of the passage is in error. Biblical Response Matthew 10:14 –15 records the words of the Lord ,   Whoever does not receive you, nor heed your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake the dust off your feet. Truly I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment , than for that city. While it is admitted that Jesus does not speak of homosexuality in connection with the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, it must also be admitted that Jesus nowhere refers to their sin as that of in-hospitality. It is inappropriate to assume that Jesus is approving of the revisionist interpretation of the Genesis account of

The Bible is very clear on the sin of homosexuality

Image
The Bible says nothing specifically about the homosexual condition (despite the rather misleading RSV translation of 1 Cor. 6:9), but its condemnations of homosexual conduct are explicit. The scope of these strictures must, however, be carefully determined. Too often they have been used as tools of a homophobic polemic which has claimed too much. The exegesis of the Sodom and Gibeah stories (Gn. 19:1–25; Jdg. 19:13–20:48) is a good case in point. We must resist D. S. Bailey’s widely-quoted claim that the sin God punished on these occasions was a breach of hospitality etiquette without sexual overtones (it fails to explain adequately both the double usage of the word ‘know’ (yāḏa‘) and the reason behind the substitutionary offer of Lot’s daughters and the Levite’s concubine); but neither account amounts to a wholesale condemnation of all homosexual acts. On both occasions the sin condemned was attempted homosexual rape, not a caring homosexual relationship between consenting part

Gay Conversion Therapy still successful

As a clinician within a Victoria police unit for mental health emergencies, Ahern, 46, deals with people who are suicidal, acting erratically, or in a state of crisis. But 10 years ago, he was in a mental health crisis of his own. Ahern was taught that the sin of homosexuality could be repented of and that walking in the Spirit daily, seeking to obey Christ would enable him to resist his homosexual lust. Fleeing from any form of temptation, focusing on worship and prayer, acknowledging the need for the power of the Holy Spirit were all part of the biblical teaching on sexual purity and spiritual health. Unfortunately he thought all he had to do was pray harder. Ahern received biblical counselling sessions at a Sydney Christian Life Centre , part of a group of churches associated with today’s Pentecostal Australian Christian Churches . In his early twenties, he married a woman, encouraged by the idea that if he settled down and got married, refused to act out his lust everything wo

Father of seven’s three-year court battle results in smashing victory for free speech in Australia

Image
An Australian Catholic father of seven has won his case in New South Wales after he was accused of vilification for publicly objecting to what he believed was the blatant promotion of homosexuality. Bernard Gaynor, a former military man and outspoken free-speech campaigner, received a favorable judgment last week in his battle with the New South Wales Anti-Discrimination Board and the New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT). “The New South Wales Court of Appeal handed down a judgment that effectively ended three years of progressive totalitarian action against me – and all Australians who dare to express conservative views,” Gaynor said in a media release.  “This victory could not have come without your support. As such, it is not mine. It belongs to all of us." The judgment ended nearly three years of costly legal action and effectively terminated 32 complaints (many of which were duplicates) for opposition to homosexual “marriage” brought against

LGBT activists target Montreal company for refusing to film gay ‘wedding’ over ‘religious beliefs’

Image
A Montreal video company is being targeted by homosexual activists after it declined to shoot their gay “wedding” because it went against the owner's “ religious beliefs .” It all started when Mike Cerantola approached award-winning film company Premiere Productions to book a date next fall for filming his “marriage.” When a representative asked for details about the bride, Cerantola replied that there wasn’t one, just “two guys.” "Everything about this 'wedding' is non-traditional," he said. Premiere Productions then declined to offer its services in a follow-up email. "I regret that I cannot take this wedding because it is at odds with my personal religious beliefs. I'm so sorry and I hope you're not offended. I do wish you success and I hope you can find what you're looking for," wrote the representative, according to CTV News . People of diverse religious beliefs, including Jews, Muslims, and Christians believe that God created mar

Church of England completely reject the Bible to welcome homosexuals

Image
English: Logo of the Church of England (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Members of the Church of England's ruling body have voted not to "take note" of a report on the immorality homosexuality and homosexual marriage . The report by the House of Bishops called for a "culture of welcome and support" for homosexuals who believe they can be Christians even though it goes against scripture. But it maintained that marriage in church should only be between a man and a woman, and services should not be held to bless immoral homosexual relationships. The motion was defeated by the House of Clergy , following hours of debate. The House of Bishops voted overwhelmingly (43-1) in favour of the report, and the House of Laity backed it by 106 votes to 83. But to win approval the report had to win backing in all three houses and the Clergy rejected it by 100 votes to 93, with two abstentions. Bishops will now have to produce a new report on the issue. The decision was welcom

The ultimate Ash Wednesday disgrace by LGBTQ zealots

Image
A New York-based advocacy group called Parity is asking liberal non- Bible Christians who favor sodom equality — “queer positive Christians ,” in their parlance — to show support by wearing “glitter ash” on their foreheads to mark Ash Wednesday on March 1.   Really rainbow glitter ash! Sodomy parading itself as righteous. Ash Wednesday kicks off the six-week somber season called Lent that leads to Easter, and is usually marked in churches with the color purple. Plain gray ashes, blessed by a minister or priest, are smeared on the foreheads of Christians to symbolize repentance.  Traditionally, Ash Wednesday ashes are made by burning the palm fronds used in the previous year’s Palm Sunday service to re-enact the day Christians believe Jesus triumphantly entered Jerusalem. Some churches make their own, while others buy them from church supply companies. “This is a way for queer Christians and queer-positive persons of faith to say ‘We are here,'” said Marian Edmonds-Alle

No grounds for $104 million suit against ‘gay zombies’ at Pride Parade: lawyers ask for case to be dropped

Image
An Ontario judge reserved judgment after a motions hearing last week on the $104 million lawsuit against Bill Whatcott and others who marched in the 2016 Toronto Pride Parade disguised as “gay zombies” to distribute fliers on the spiritual and physical dangers of homosexuality. Whatcott’s lawyers, Charles Lugosi and John Findlay , argued in front of Ontario Superior Court Justice Paul Perell on February 8-9 that the lawsuit is a “ SLAPP ” or “strategic lawsuit against public participation,” which has no legal merit, is an abuse of process and should be dismissed. Lugosi and Findlay also argued that the Toronto Pride Parade is a political, government-promoted event. Thus, the actions of Whatcott and the “gay zombies” are protected by Charter rights of freedom of speech and assembly. LGBTQ activist lawyer Douglas Elliott and Scott Fairley of Cambridge LLP argued on behalf of the plaintiffs for an order forcing Whatcott to disclose the identities of his fellow “gay zombies

Emotional homosexual video seeks to manipulate people

Image
An emotional music video manipulating people to accept the sin of homosexuality has fooled again the emotions of homosexual supporters. Greg Gould's version of the En Vogue classic 'Don't Let Go' has attracted again an emotion response from people who support the homosexual agenda . This is about emotions not facts. This is about seeking to convince others by emotional manipulation . For some it works, for others it is just another attempt by homosexual activists to try to convince people that immoral homosexuality is something good, nice, wholesome and wonderful. The video shows a number of ways in which active homosexuals face a negative response from people. Why do people do this? Because homosexuality is a sin. Always has been and always will be. People are not fooled by this. An adulterer doesn't make his sin a lifestyle and seek every ones approval of his sin.  Parents struggle when their kids are captured by the hideousness of the homosexual agend

Australian Bank ANZ promotes immoral homosexuality

Image
A new ANZ Bank advertisement tries to promote immoral homosexual relationships by portraying homosexuals stopping hugging and holding hands in public because a survey showed more than half of homosexuals Australians feel uncomfortable about showing affection in public. Why are they uncomfortable? Because people object to homosexuality. The majority of people who object to the immoral homosexual agenda are called haters and bigots. Homosexual zealots use this technique to beat down people's objections of immoral homosexuality.  Now the ANZ Banks wants to embarrass and intimidate people who object to immoral homosexuality. ANZ wants those who object to feel guilty. Their advertisement is saying - their objections to public displays of homosexuality are hurting homosexuals.   It is true that some people use profanity when affronted by public displays of the sin of homosexuality being paraded in front of them and their children. But the point here is simple - homose

When parents defend and don't correct homosexuality desire

Image
No parent wants to intentionally reject their own child. No parent want to see their child hurt or sad. But parents do guide, advise, direct with wisdom and insight. Parents also correct when able when your child begins to think incorrectly and chooses a dangerous unhealthy lifestyle.  Shelley Argent is the mother of two sons. One is gay, the other is not. One will be allowed, under Australian law , to marry the person he loves, while his older brother is unable to marry as he has chosen a homosexual lifestyle. James Argent believed or was influenced to believe he was homosexual at 18-years-old. At that age moral confusion is rampant yet instead of a discussion and correction regarding the sinful unhealthy lifestyle choice of homosexuality his mother championed his sinful choice. Is love blind? Is she aware by doing this he will be pushed into a world that many want to escape from, regardless what the media and LGBTQ groups say? Shelley, is now the national spokesperson fo

Australia: Battle over same-sex marriage exemptions

Image
The case of a Christian florist who was sued in the US for refusing to provide flowers for a same-sex wedding illustrates the need to protect freedom of thought, conscience and belief, Martyn Iles, of the Human Rights Law Alliance, a clinic set up by the Australian Christian Lobby , told a Senate inquiry in Canberra today. “This case tells a few clarifying things – first, that freedom of thought, conscience and religion or belief is a human right,” he told the Senate Select Committee on the “Exposure Draft” of a bill to change the Marriage Act to allow same-sex marriage. “All people have convictions of conscience by virtue of their being human. It’s not a right merely given to ordained clergy or institutions.” The committee is in its third day of hearings into submissions on the draft bill by Christian groups and civil rights agencies. There has been no argument that ministers of religion should not be forced to marry same-sex couples but gay rights groups do not wish to see such
