Gender ideology is ‘destructive,’ ‘anti-human’ and must be opposed: Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church

Image
Ukraine ’s Greek Catholic bishops , who are in full communion with the Holy See , are warning the country’s faithful about the dangers of gender ideology, saying that the imposition of the “destructive” and “anti-human” ideology bears resemblance to how the “godless Soviet regime ” imposed atheistic communism on the Ukrainian people in the 20th century.  But unlike communism that was accompanied by “open and bloody persecution,” gender ideology uses “hidden” and often “covert” means that nevertheless has the similar result of “destroying Christian faith and morality, as well as universal human values,” the bishops warn.  The Encyclical, titled   “Concerning the Danger of Gender Ideology”   was written by Archbishop Sviatoslav Shevchuk on behalf of the Synod of Bishops of the Major Archeparchy of Kiev–Galicia. It was published in English on Dec. 4.  Archbishop Sviatoslav states that Gender ideology “denies the most obvious anthropological reality.” “People are born mal

Australia: SA schools mistakenly introduce transgender, intersex policy rejecting it as a mental health issue

Image
A new policy for transgender and intersex students , which includes allowing students to use the toilets of the gender they identify with, will be in place at South Australian public schools this year. Under the policy, students will also be called by their preferred name and allowed to wear the uniform of the gender they identify with. Education Department spokesperson Ann-Marie Hayes said the policy was needed. But the question who says it is needed? An LGBT pressure group? The far left of Labor?  She said she believed it would benefit all students, not just those who were transgender and intersex. Exactly how does promoting a foolish mental health issue which is now trendy help others? It only brings confusion. Here comes the old tired argument and justification:  "These students are often more likely to be bullied or harassed because of homophobia or transphobia." Ms Hayes said the new policy was mandatory for all schools. So no choice in this ne

Democrats Have a Religion Problem

Former US President Obama who led his country into homosexual sin and grave debauchery A conversation with Michael Wear, a former Obama White House staffer, about the party’s illiteracy on and hostility toward white evangelicals. There aren’t many people like Michael Wear in today’s Democratic Party . The former director of Barack Obama ’s 2012 faith-outreach efforts is a theologically conservative evangelical Christian . He is opposed to both abortion and same-sex marriage, although he would argue that those are primarily theological positions, and other issues, including poverty and immigration, are also important to his faith. During his time working for Obama, Wear was often alone in many of his views, he writes in his new book,   Reclaiming Hope . He helped with faith-outreach strategies for Obama’s 2008 campaign, but was surprised when some state-level officials decided not to pursue this kind of engagement: “Sometimes—as I came to understand the more I worked in poli

Why I was so wrong to sneer at heterosexual marriage

SARAH VINE says getting hitched is the best framework there is for a lifetime together.  Almost too late, I realised that the feminist rejection of marriage was a big con. Luckily for me, I finally met a good ’un before it was too late, and had a child. Unmarried couples with children who break up now exceed the married ones. Parents who marry are far more likely to stay together than those cohabiting When I was young and ignorant, I thought marriage was an outmoded institution: at best an irrelevance, at worst a throwback to the bad old days when women were little more than objects to be bought and sold. Women like me — independent, educated, capable of re-wiring a plug — had no intention of getting married.  Instead, we expected to enter into long-term partnerships on an equal footing, and bring up our children in an atmosphere of mutual understanding. That was the theory. In practice, I soon discovered that rather than helping me find the perfect ‘life partner’, this app

Singer Kim Burrell's appearance on Ellen cancelled after biblical sermon on the sin of homosexuality

Grammy-nominated gospel singer Kim Burrell has had a scheduled appearance on  Ellen  cancelled, after a video showing her delivering a biblical sermon on the sin of homosexuality at her local church went viral. The gospel singer was due to perform her single  I See A Victory  – a song off the soundtrack to the new Golden Globe -nominated film  Hidden Figures , recorded with Pharrell Williams – on the show. But, following days of outrage by intolerant rainbow warriors at the singer's biblical comments, including   a Change.org petition condemning the upcoming performance , host Ellen DeGeneres vetoed the gig with a simple tweet to her 64 million followers. "For those asking, Kim Burrell will not be appearing on my show," she wrote. Burrell, 44 - a respected figure in the gospel music world, who had previously worked with the likes of Harry Connick Jr and Frank Ocean , and was once listed as an inspiration by Beyonce - was filmed delivering a very c

The 2016-17 television season will have the highest percentage of LGBTQ regular immoral characters yet, a new   study   released on Thursday said. The research conducted by Glaad, an LGBTQ media advocacy organization, found that 4.8% (43) of the characters expected to appear on primetime scripted broadcast TV will be LGBTQ, a record in the 21 years it has been tracking such numbers. The intent is to manipulate minds, saturate people's thinking that immoral homosexual sin is good, fun and healthy. Lies! The report, titled Where We Are on TV, analyzes the overall diversity of prime-time scripted series on broadcast, cable and streaming services in the US. The study also found that 20% of all series regulars in 2016-17 will be back, another record number in terms of representation.  Furthermore the number of regular or recurring transgender characters more than doubled from seven to 16, because of immoral shows such as The Fosters and Doubt. In cabinet documents released by the National Archives , Ray emerges as a staunch defender of the ban on homosexuals in the military against the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and the Attorney General’s Department . So fierce was the split in cabinet, Ray wrote his own submission to dissent from other departments on the issue. “Bonding and teamwork are the key to survival and success in combat,” he wrote, arguing to defer any policy change until a survey of the   Australian defence force   was completed.

Father appeals ruling upholding forced LGBT indoctrination in Ontario schools

A father of two is appealing an Ontario judge’s decision upholding the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board ’s refusal to disclose when morally sensitive subjects such as homosexuality and abortion are discussed. Steve Tourloukis says the decision denied his parental rights, describing it as “a human rights disaster” and “systemic discrimination against Christians .” Tourloukis took the public school board to court in 2012 seeking an order that the board tell him in advance what his children will be taught about controversial subjects. He also sought an order that the school board allow him to pull his children from class if he deemed they would be exposed to what would be “false teaching” according to his Greek Orthodox faith . But four years and $70,000 later, Tourloukis’ battle ended with Justice Robert Reid of the   Ontario Superior Court   throwing out his application, including his request that the court declare that as a parent, he has final authority over w
