Pixar featured its first homosexual main character in a new short film, “Out.” The film tells the story of a young man revealing to his parents that he is in a homosexual relationship. Disney’s streaming service Disney+ announced the short film as “[t]he latest heartwarming tale” on Twitter. When Rachel Colvin, a teacher at Ballarat Christian College, refused to sign a new statement of faith that had been strengthened following the same-sex marriage plebiscite, she set in train an anti-discrimination case which captures the issues at the heart of Australia’s religious discrimination debate. She should have stood down immediately. But she aligned herself with people who are clearly anti-God and anti-scripture while still claiming to be a Christian.  The school’s new statement says  “God designed the two genders, male and female, for the purpose of joy and procreation within the sole relationship of marriage. So marriage can only be between a male and a female, and upon this foundation alone should children be conceived and families formed.”  Although a very liberal Christian, Colvin disagreed. ONE CHRISTIAN LEADER STANDS FOR SCRIPTURE NOT IDIOTIC DENOMINATION The US Episcopal Church is disciplining one of its bishops because he upholds the biblical position on sex and marriage. The Bishop of Albany, William Love, has been accused of violating canon law by showing “unwillingness to abide by Resolution B012” – which stipulates that bishops must permit same-sex weddings to take place in their diocese. The Resolution introduced in 2018 says that if a bishop disagrees with same-sex marriage and does not wish to participate, they must invite another bishop to do so instead. ‘Direct conflict’ When the resolution was passed, Bishop Love responded with a pastoral letter saying same-sex unions are “in direct conflict and contradiction to God’s intent for the sacrament of marriage”. But it’s not merely that popular opinion has shifted in favor of homosexual marriage and transgender identities. The U.S. Navy has begun construction on a ship that will be christened the “USNS Harvey Milk” after the murdered San Francisco Supervisor who made history in the 1970s as California’s first openly homosexual elected official.    The man the U.S. Navy has chosen to honor was also a homosexual pederast. A few weeks ago a singer from England initially refused to participate in a half-time show at a football game in Texas because it was to benefit the Salvation Army. Singer Ellie Goulding, who later relented, said, “I am a committed philanthropist as you probably know, and my heart has always been in helping the homeless, but supporting an anti-LGBTQ charity is clearly not something I would ever intentionally do.” By what criterion is the Salvation Army an anti-gay hate group? Because they do not let practicing, unrepentant homosexuals become leaders? Should GLAAD or other radical LGBTQ groups be forced, against their will, to have as leaders those who oppose their lifestyle? The Ballarat Christian College story For those who missed the story, Rachel Colvin, a former teacher at Ballarat Christian College, issuing the school for discrimination. Rachael Colvin is suing her former employer, Ballarat Christian College. The case has fundamental implications for whether religious schools will be allowed to require the support of employees for their official goals or whether official Christian mission statements are regarded as intrinsically discriminatory – and therefore illegal.
