You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination. ( Leviticus 18:22) If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Both passages unquestionably prohibit any type of same-sex intimacy and even prohibit the interest in same-sex intimacy. If God forbids certain deeds—declaring them sinful—we must necessarily conclude that the desire, the longing, or the interest in committing such deeds is sinful as well.  One cannot say that although the deed of murder is sinful, the desire to murder is morally (and scripturally) acceptable; therefore, from the outset, we can discard the attempted and unacceptable evasion that presents these passages as only dealing with homosexual acts and not with homosexual interest or desire.1 The Bible, particularly these passages i

Objection Stated The story of Sodom and Gomorrah is irrelevant to homosexuality because it does not address loving, monogamous relationships . It is only decrying gang rape and violence , nothing else. Biblical Response Surely there is everything wrong with violence, whether sexual or not. And there is everything wrong with gang rape as well. But to note that these things are wrong does not explain many of the issues in the narrative of Genesis 19 , as well as the rest of the Bible’s references to Sodom and Gomorrah.  There was no violence on the part of the crowd until Lot identified their desires as wicked. Was Lot wrong to identify homosexual desires for these men as wicked? And was Peter wrong to interpret the story from Genesis as involving daily ungodliness on the part of the Sodomites? Jude speaks of desiring “ strange flesh ,” and Peter refers only to sexual immorality, not to homosexuality. Some assert that the sin of the Sodomites in Jude consisted of a desire to have sexual relations with angels. Both passages show us that the attempt to connect the Genesis story with homosexuality lacks the support of New Testament writers. An Australian Catholic father of seven has won his case in New South Wales after he was accused of vilification for publicly objecting to what he believed was the blatant promotion of homosexuality. Bernard Gaynor, a former military man and outspoken free-speech campaigner, received a favorable judgment last week in his battle with the New South Wales Anti-Discrimination Board and the New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT). “The New South Wales Court of Appeal handed down a judgment that effectively ended three years of progressive totalitarian action against me – and all Australians who dare to express conservative views,” Gaynor said in a media release.  “This victory could not have come without your support. As such, it is not mine. It belongs to all of us." A Montreal video company is being targeted by homosexual activists after it declined to shoot their gay “wedding” because it went against the owner's “ religious beliefs .” It all started when Mike Cerantola approached award-winning film company Premiere Productions to book a date next fall for filming his “marriage.” When a representative asked for details about the bride, Cerantola replied that there wasn’t one, just “two guys.” "Everything about this 'wedding' is non-traditional," he said. Premiere Productions then declined to offer its services in a follow-up email. "I regret that I cannot take this wedding because it is at odds with my personal religious beliefs. The report by the House of Bishops called for a "culture of welcome and support" for homosexuals who believe they can be Christians even though it goes against scripture. But it maintained that marriage in church should only be between a man and a woman, and services should not be held to bless immoral homosexual relationships. The motion was defeated by the House of Clergy , following hours of debate. The House of Bishops voted overwhelmingly (43-1) in favour of the report, and the House of Laity backed it by 106 votes to 83. But to win approval the report had to win backing in all three houses and the Clergy rejected it by 100 votes to 93, with two abstentions. Bishops will now have to produce a new report on the issue. Texas and four other Republican-led states filed another lawsuit Tuesday seeking to roll back the Obama administration’s efforts to strengthen transgender rights, saying new federal nondiscrimination health rules could force doctors to act contrary to their medical judgment or religious beliefs. The lawsuit is the second in recent months in which conservative states have sued over federal efforts to defend transgender rights. Social conservatives claimed victory Sunday when a federal judge in Texas halted an Obama administration directive requiring public schools to let transgender students use bathrooms consistent with their gender identity. Now they’re asking that same court to block new regulations intended to ban discrimination by doctors, hospitals and insurers against transgender persons. The latest lawsuit contends that the rules, which were finalized in May, could force doctors to help with gender transition contrary to their religious beliefs or medical judgment. T

Liberal Catholic press-people have recently touted a man some call Canada ’s leading dissenter since the 1960s - former Catholic priest Gregory Baum - because of his role as an expert, or peritus, to the Canadian bishops at Vatican II.  Baum, an advocate of homosexual ‘marriage’ and sex outside of marriage and contraception, was lauded by Fr. Thomas Rosica of Salt and Light TV, Michael Swan of the Catholic Register and also given free reign in the pages of the Scarboro Foreign Missions magazine. Had he merely publicly rejected Catholicism, Baum would not have been as grave a danger to the Church and especially its moral teachings.
