British judge suspended and ‘re-educated’ for thinking children do best with a mom and dad

Richard Page, a 68-year-old British Justice of the Peace and evangelical Christian , has been condemned by the country’s highest legal authorities, suspended, and subjected to a day-long re-education session to rid him of the dangerous belief that a child would be better off being adopted by a family with a mother and a father than by a same-sex couple. Page sat on a family court tribunal last summer to consider a social worker’s recommendation that a foster child be adopted by a gay couple. “I raised some questions in private with the other judges, including that I thought that because a baby comes from a man and a woman it made me think the child would be better off with a father and a mother than with single-sex parents. The other judges didn’t agree at all,” he told LifeSiteNews. British Justice of the Peace Richard Page Worse, the other judges complained. A review committee concurred, suspended him from the bench and recommended he be kicked off the lowest rung of the judic

Canada’s best kids book is an anti-Christian novel about a sex-obsessed trans teen? So say the Governor General’s judges

Teenage life sucks and then it gets worse—this seems to be the message judges of children’s literature are looking for these days, at least if the winners of the Governor General’s and B.C. Lieutenant Governor’s writing contests are anything to go by. Speaking generally about the dark trend in teen lit, Greg Roper, chairman of the English department at the University of Dallas , told LifeSiteNews, “The family is now seen as the source of oppression, a place of pathology. The thesis now is that children must be prepared for a harsh world, not protected from it, and this idea is being pushed at an earlier and earlier age.” The Governor General’s winner this year for children’s literature is Raziel Reid’s When Everything Feels Like The Movies , which drew this description from a clearly complimentary review in goodreads.com written by Max Baker: “If this book is anything, it's a testament of how f****d up Generation Y is. Like, no s**t. We're a bunch of self-entitled, egot

Ottawa girls meet with gay activist after Catholic school board approved ‘gay rights’ project

English: St. Joseph Catholic High School in Barrhaven, a suburb of Ottawa, Ontario. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) T he Ottawa Catholic School Board reversed the decision of one of its principals last week, allowing two grade six girls to go ahead with a project on “gay rights.” Board chairperson Ted Hurley said it had become “clear” that the girls’ purpose was in line with Catholic teaching and merely aimed “to combat the kinds of behaviour and attitudes that can lead to bullying of gay people.” However, on the weekend the girls were photographed lunching with the founder of a homosexual activist organization that exists to promote the normalization of homosexuality among young people in school. The photo, taken by one of the girls’ moms and  posted to Twitter  on Sunday, shows 11-year-old Quinn Maloney-Tavares and her friend Polly Hamilton posing with homosexual activist Jeremy Dias, founder of Jer’s Vision, in an Ottawa -area restaurant. The tweet read: “Lunch with Jer fro

Canadian Olympic Committee teams up with gay activists to push homosexual sin in schools

Image
Egale Canada (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) On Tuesday the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC)  announced  plans to partner with two leading homosexual advocacy groups to promote the homosexual agenda among current Olympic athletes, and Olympic hopefuls in Canadian schools . The COC signed an agreement with You Can Play and Egale Canada in order to "foster LGBTQ inclusivity in national sport" by creating homosexuality-focused "resources" to be incorporated into the Canadian Olympic School Program (COSP), which will focus its efforts on students from grades six to eight. The initiative will also create a new "OneTeam Athlete Ambassador" program, which will promote visits to schools across the country by homosexuality-endorsing athletes. The program's goal is to "establish formal relationships with 25 school boards nationally and connect with 1 million students by the end of 2016." “What started as maybe a video, or a little help with

The worst is yet to come: Homosexual sin advances

Catholic couple at their Holy Matrimony or marriage. In the Latin rite of the Catholic Church, during the celebration the priest imposes his liturgical stole upon the couple's hands, as a sign to confirm the marriage bond. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Consider some of these important Gay events that happened this past year: There is no denying it: 2014 was the year the scale tipped, and same-sex “marriage” literally swept across the United States as  judge after judge in state after state  trampled on the clear will of the people, unilaterally striking down voter-approved traditional marriage amendments.  Meanwhile, those who believe in traditional marriage are increasingly being told that they are “bigots” who have no right to their beliefs. Just think of the Benham brothers,  who were fired from their HGTV show  because of their Christian views; or the Duggars,  who were recently the subject of a ferocious media attack , demanding that their show on TLC be cancelled

The error of homosexual orientation and the gospel of Jesus

Logo of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) I recently addressed a major national conference on “ The Gospel, Homosexuality, and the Future of Marriage ” held by the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention . As expected, the conference was one of the most responsible and edifying meetings yet held of Christians concerned about these issues. This is exactly what would be expected of the ERLC and its leadership. The conference was both helpful and historic. I had the honor of delivering the opening keynote address entitled “Aftermath: Ministering in a Post-Marriage Culture.” The full text of my address will be posted here shortly. Subsequent to the conference, it became clear that the vast coverage of the conference in the national press raised some issues that need to be considered further. One of these issues is sexual orientation . As I explained in my address, I had previously denied the existence of sexu
