Ireland has stripped all religious freedom laws that conflict with homosexual rights

Image
Ireland has stripped away laws which protected the rights of people to freedom of religion when in conflict with gay rights. The move comes just weeks after the first Irish gay weddings went ahead, following a referendum to allow gay marriage earlier this year. Following the landslide defeat for opponents of same sex marriage – the referendum was lost by 62 per cent in favour of gay marriage to 38 per cent against – Ireland’s Parliament has been busy with a slate of reforms designed to cement the rights of gay people within Irish law . On Tuesday night the latest bastion against religious intolerance was swept away, as the Dáil voted unanimously to repeal Section 37 of the state’s Employment Equality Act. Section 37 granted specific exemptions for “religious, educational or medical institutions” when it came to gay rights, allowing them “to maintain the religious ethos of the institution”. Removing the section will mean that LGBT teachers will be free to talk to school pupils abou

The British Columbia Parents and Teachers for Life (BCPTL) organization is warning parents that the BC Teachers’ Federation (BCTF) plans to use the " Day of Pink " to indoctrinate school children with "a pro- homosexuality message." The BCPTL points out that under the heading Day of Pink on its website , the BC Teachers' Federation "pays lip service to preventing the bullying of all students ," then goes on to give suggestions for school activities which "make crystal-clear what they think the objectives of the day ought to be." These activities include focusing on "gender role stereotyping, teasing, and homophobia ." "Discuss the harm of homophobic bullying with primary students," the BC Teachers’ Federation suggests for children as young as five. "Use the BCTF’s 'That’s so Gay!' poster with your class," its website instructs teachers . "Ask students if they have heard the expression on th

Teacher under fire for Christian view of marriage, resigns after LGBT witch hunt

A California teacher resigned after a letter he wrote for the school newspaper condemning homosexuality caused backlash. Michael Stack, a special education teacher at San Luis Obispo High School , submitted  the letter  to editor of the online  Expressions  responding to its May issue covering LGBT issues that contained a cover photo of two women kissing. He resigned May 11, the same day someone called in a death threat for him to the school. Stack had faced criticism after citing the Bible on the sinfulness of homosexuality in the letter. The passage he referenced (Romans 1:16-32) states that individuals who take part in homosexual acts “suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved” “as a result of this sin.” “Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God,” it says, “He abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done.” The passage goes on to describe various elements of wickedness and into which their lives would d

Australia: Melbourne teacher refuses to teach ‘lewd’ safe schools and respectful relationships program

Image
A MELBOURNE high school teacher says she would refuse to teach “lewd” material in the Victorian government ’s mandatory respectful relationships program to be introduced in all state schools next year. Moira Deeming, a teacher and mother-of-three, said she was shocked by the content and would rather be fired from her job than teach such “sleazy, unnecessary drivel” to her students. Ms Deeming, 33, said educating children as young as 12 about porn and getting them to have classroom discussions about masturbation and sex was not appropriate and would not help to stop gender-based violence and discrimination as the program intended. Under the program, children as young as prep are also being introduced to same-sex relationships through children’s books, including Tango Makes Three, a tale about two male penguins who adopt a baby penguin. The book has been banned in Singapore and after parent outrage was scrapped from some school libraries in the UK and the US . It also featured in

How to loose your job - Facebook a comment against LGBT agenda

SOMERVILLE, NJ , – A Catholic school has decided not to rehire a  theology teacher who rejected the argument in favor of gay “marriage” on her private Facebook page , her family has announced. The controversy began last week after a student found a Facebook post by Patricia Jannuzzi, a 57-year-old theology teacher at Immaculata High School in Somerville, New Jersey. In it, Jannuzzi said that advocates of redefining marriage argue that they “are born this way and it is not a choice, to get 14th amendment rights equal protection” – which was intended for “unchangeable characteristics such as race and disability.” Then, “they will argue everyone should be able to choose” to engage in the homosexual lifestyle. The former student, Scott Lyons, a homosexual who says he is “married” to another man, posted a message branding Jannuzzi's views as “extreme.” His aunt, actress Susan Sarandon, reposted it and it went viral, spawning a petition to the school administration on Change.org

Reinstate lesbian teachers caught having sex in classroom, court orders school

NEW YORK CITY , March 21, 2014  – A five-panel appellate court has ruled that having sex in a public school classroom is no reason to lose your job. Justices with the Manhattan Appellate Division have ordered James Madison High School to reinstate two lesbian teachers whom they fired after a janitor found them having sex inside a classroom during a school event. French teacher Cindy Mauro, 38, and Spanish teacher Alini Brito, 34, went to a bar after school, then returned to attend a school singing competition in January 2011. They left the event and went into Room 337, when the custodian found the pair engaged in sexual activity. Both were naked from the waist up.  The school fired the pair, both of whom had tenure. The teachers denied any wrongdoing, saying that Brito needed to get something to eat to stabilize her blood sugar, and filed a lawsuit. On Thursday, the panel ruled, “The penalty of termination of unemployment is shockingly disproportionate to [t

Catholic school Teacher’s immoral homosexual ‘marriage’ made public

A Southern California Catholic school fired one of its teachers because of his “marriage” to another man. Now, a former student is leading a petition effort to have him reinstated. The community is questioning whether a Catholic school has a right to fire someone for violating the Church’s teaching on living a homosexual lifestyle and same-sex “marriage.” Local media  touted the “marriage” of Ken Bencomo, 45, to Christopher Persky, 32, as one of the first in San Bernardino County after the June 26  Supreme Court decision  striking down California’s Proposition 8 . Bencomo had taught at St. Lucy’s in Glendora, California , for 17 years and was head of the English department, a dance coach, and yearbook moderator. According to Brittany Littleton, a former student  petitioning  for his reinstatement, Bencomo served in a  de facto  mentorship role to both students and teachers. The school, according to former student Abigail O’Brian, had been aware of the 10-year re
