Alabama Chief Justice suspended for upholding natural marriage

Image
Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore was temporarily suspended Friday following a complaint against his defense of Alabama ’s marriage laws from the state’s Judicial Inquiry Commission (JIC). Moore now faces charges in the Alabama Court of the Judiciary , which could remove him from the Court if they find he’s violated the Alabama Judicial Canons of Ethics or engaged in misconduct.  The charges focus on Moore’s January 2016 Administrative Order, in which he wrote that state probate judges should “not…issue any marriage license contrary to the Alabama Sanctity of Marriage Amendment or the Alabama Marriage Protection Act.”  Moore instructed judges to not act contrary to state laws defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman until the Supreme Court rules on the effects of its landmark same-sex “marriage” ruling   Obergefell v. Hodges   on the Alabama Supreme Court’s existing orders upholding the state’s marriage laws. Most probate judges in Alabama i

UN agency includes ten year old boys in definition of gay behavior

The UN family planning agency ( UNFPA ) drifted further into controversial territory with a new report on HIV and sexually transmitted infections among men who have sex with men – and boys. UNFPA’s  report  implies that promiscuity and dangerous sexual practices are a pervasive part of the male homosexual experience, a charge that the Southern Poverty Law Center would label as “hate” if it came from a conservative Christian group. At the same time, the report ignores the fact that having multiple sexual partners, especially multiple concurrent partners, greatly raises the risk of infection. The advice it offers for changing sexual behavior is limited to using condoms and lubricants. UNFPA begins with a definition of MSM as “men who have sex with men,” and “should be understood to include young men, i.e. those in the age range 10–24 years.” While MSM is generally considered to be a behavior rather than an identity, UNFPA includes those “who experience sexual attraction towar

SPLC labels law firm representing Kim Davis a ‘hate group’

Image
The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has labeled Liberty Counsel , the law firm representing and supporting Christian Kentucky clerk Kim Davis, who famously went to jail for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, a " hate group ." Pointing to evidence that Liberty Counsel supports Christian beliefs on homosexuality, SPLC placed the group on a list of "hate groups" alongside other organizations such the Ku Klux Klan , the ultra-violent New Black Panther Party , and neo-Nazi white supremacist groups. On a page explaining the "hate" designation, the SPLC include quotes by Liberty Counsel founder Mat Staver pointing to the harmful effects of homosexual behavior, and saying that homosexual behavior is immoral. Direct mail marketing millionaire Morris Dees founded the SPLC as a civil rights organization to monitor the Ku Klux Klan and other violent and/or racist groups.  In recent years, however, the SPLC has dramatically ex

61% of Americans don’t want Supreme Court to force gay ‘marriage’ on the states: poll

Pro and anti-Proposition 8 protesters rally in front of the San Francisco City Hall as the California Supreme Court holds a session in the to determine the definition of marriage (Strauss v. Horton cases). (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) February 26, 2015 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) -- A vast majority of Americans want the government to stay out of their personal affairs when it comes to defining marriage and how they conduct their work lives or businesses, a new survey says. And a great majority also oppose the idea of the Supreme Court forcing the entire country to accept marriage redefinition. Eighty-one percent of Americans agree with the statement, “ Government should leave people free to follow their beliefs about marriage as they live their daily lives at work and in the way they run their businesses,” according to a  survey  commissioned by the Family Research Council (FRC) and the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB). The poll breakdown also showed that 80 percent of even t

Psychology Today bans ads for treatment of unwanted same-sex attraction

Image
Under heavy pressure from homosexual activists,  Psychology Today  magazine has banned all advertising for practitioners who offer services to help people rid themselves of unwanted same-sex attraction and develop healthy sexual desire for the opposite sex. The therapy, known as "sexual orientation change efforts” ( SOCE ), has been under fire by gay activists who assert it promotes the “dangerous” idea that sexual preference is a choice, not an inborn trait.  So far, three states and the District of Columbia have been persuaded to ban the practice outright for minors, and gay activists are working to convince additional states and the federal government to do the same. In the meantime, the homosexual advocacy group HRC ( Human Rights Campaign ) has been pressuring  Psychology Today , which lists tens of thousands of therapists in its directory, to bar SOCE practitioners from advertising their services there.  “By offering a venue for these medically-debunked practices

Angry protester throws slushie in the face of pro-family protester on Mother’s Day: video

GRANDVILLE, MI, May 12, 2014  – A woman peacefully holding a sign outside a Michigan church on Mother's Day was attacked by a pro-gay activist, who threw an ice slushie drink in her face. On Sunday afternoon, Christine Weick stood at an intersection in the city of Grandville with a sign that read, “Thank your mom today for not being gay.” Her message was that Mother's Day is a celebration of children and the natural family, something incompatible with homosexuality. A man later stood by her side and held up a sign supporting homosexuality. As a camera crew from a local TV station raced to the scene, a third person joined them. Jessica Prince , an area teenager, was caught on film scowling as she threw a red slushie in Wieck's face, then maintained a tense stand-off with her. Television station WOOD-TV reports, “ Slushie -thrower Jessica Prince using profanity and rude gestures” toward the woman. Wieck soon told Prince that if she advanced toward her again,
