The Bible, Homosexuality and love

Image
Christianity views human sexuality as being the result of God’s creative act. Therefore, sexual activity should be in accordance with God’s intention as revealed in the Bible. The biblical portrayal of human sexuality is based on the understanding that we are created male or female in the image of God and that the union of husband and wife in marriage is the appropriate relationship for sexual activity. Sexual behaviour is an expression of love between a man and a woman who have committed themselves to each other in marriage. The consistent biblical ideal for sexual experience is chastity for those outside of a monogamous heterosexual marriage and fidelity for those within such a marriage. Human sexual relationships are to be monogamous and heterosexual. The Christian view of human sexuality is not the only or even the prevailing view within Australian society.  An alternative view is that sexual identity and behaviour is the prerogative of the individual and that any

Ontario’s sex ed puts kids in danger - but you won’t hear that from mainstream media

Image
A few weeks ago, at the invitation of several parent organizations, I traveled from New York to Toronto and addressed a crowd of almost one thousand people. It was dinner time and mid-week, but we ran out of chairs. When the topic is graphic sex education for children, people show up. The sex ed portion of the curriculum imposed by liberal premier Kathleen Wynne , I explained, is not about health, but about molding the attitudes of children. The goal is to produce students who respect and affirm nearly any type of sexual lifestyle . Teachers will promote an ideology which has nothing to do with disease prevention and everything to do with sexual license. My talk (watch it  here ) and accompanying PowerPoint included lots of hard science: the immature cervix, the physiology of the vagina and rectum, the differentiation of the embryonic brain, and the prefrontal cortex of the adolescent. You see, Premier Wynne’s curriculum omits all that. It fails to provide students with

Toronto schools claim parents have no right to pull kids from gay classes

The Toronto District School Board has confirmed it will not permit students to opt out of any portion of public school curricula that deals with homosexuality or gender identity , stating as its reason that these groups fall under Ontario Human Rights Code protection. In this, the TDSB follows the lead of the Peel school board , which announced a similar policy concurrent with the Liberal government’s September roll out of its controversial sex-ed curriculum in all Ontario ’s publicly funded schools. Spokesperson Ryan Bird said that while the TDSB has a “board-wide policy” for parents to “request a religious accommodation when it comes to the sex-ed curriculum,” the board “will not be making accommodations for people that are requesting to opt out of portions of the curriculum that have to do with sexual orientation or gender identity.” “When there’s a request not to learn about an identifiable group…whether it’s sex, gender, race, culture, religion, that’s something we wouldn’t

Grade 3 teacher ignores parents and teaches about gay sex

A North Carolina elementary school teacher has resigned after his decision to read a gay-themed children’s book to his third-grade class led to controversy in the small town of Efland. Omar Currie said he read his students the book “King and King,” a fairy tale about two princes having a “love” encounter, after he perceived negative gay stereotyping in his class. Currie said that he was inspired to teach the little kids about two men “hooking up” because a boy in his class acted a little feminine. “When I read the story, the reaction of parents didn’t come into my mind,” Currie, 25, said Tuesday . “In that moment, it just seemed natural to me to read the book and have a conversation about treating people with respect. My focus then was on the child, and helping the child.” The thought that the child just acted feminine could have just stayed as it is. A thought. Some kids act different than others. But this teacher overstepped his bounds and pushed an idea into the under-aged child’s

NUTty: Sex ed courses must make ‘positive’ portrayal of gay sex ‘compulsory,’ National Union of Teachers says

Image
LONDON , April 7, 2015  – The British government must “make it compulsory that all schools’ sex education policies include a positive portrayal of same-sex relationships," the UK's National Union of Teachers (NUT) decided at its annual conference on Sunday. Christine Blower , General Secretary of the union, said that “NUT is at the forefront in the campaign for equality of opportunity and fair treatment for all students and staff, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation,” and that all political parties contending in the May election should adopt the union's motion. "The NUT calls for all parties standing in the 2015 General Election to show their commitment to tackling the discrimination faced by both LGBT students and teachers in schools by following the 10-point action plan outlined in the motion. This includes making it compulsory for all schools’ sex education policies to include a positive portrayal of same sex relationships, promoting LGB

Contraception gave us divorce and gay ‘marriage’ and will destroy us: here’s how

Lyrl created this image as a visual explanation of the Standard Days Method. The Standard Days Method works for women who always have menstrual cycles between 26 and 32 days in length. Avoiding sexual intercourse on the days labeled 'fertile' results in a pregnancy rate of 10% per year. The method can also be used to achieve pregnancy - the woman has sexual intercourse on the days labeled 'fertile'. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) March 4, 2015 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) -- Although there has always been contraception , its acceptance and practice by society as a whole is a relatively new phenomenon. In the first part of the 20 th  century barrier methods became through mass production increasingly used. However, with the advent of the hormonal contraceptive pill in the 1960s the contraceptive era, ushering in the sexual revolution, really took off. The term “revolution” is by no means exaggerated, for the result was a fundamental change in the understanding of human sexua

Teachers cannot opt out of teaching gay ‘marriage’ in school sex-ed classes: Scottish NHS

Image
EDINBURGH,  – While Scottish government draft guidelines currently allow teachers with moral objections to opt-out of certain aspects of the country’s new sex-ed curriculum, several National Health Service boards have objected to the opt-out clause. They are also objecting to provisions allowing parents to opt their children out of the classes. Currently, the guidelines require teachers who have a moral objection to things like teaching about gay “marriage” to opt out, if alternative arrangements are made "where possible." But that’s not good enough, according to a submission from NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde .  “It is extremely concerning that teaching staff would be provided an opportunity to refuse to participate in this particular aspect of the curriculum,” said the board, one of the largest in the country.  Sex education can be compared, they said, to “other areas of the taught curriculum where conscience may be a factor and no option to withdraw is p

Immoral Dan Savage gets $24K from Oregon university to talk to students about gay sex, fetishes

EUGENE, Oregon ,  The University of Oregon paid homosexual activist and X-rated sex advice columnist Dan Savage $24,000 out of student funds to give a presentation at the launch of a university-sponsored graphic smartphone sex education app, according to a copy of the contract the university released to the local  Register-Guard  newspaper. Savage said the smartphone app from the University of Oregon Health Center, called SexPositive, is "an amazing, fun and completely addictive sex ed app." X-rated sex advice columnist Dan Savage has a history of obscene and violent remarks against Christians and conservatives. The Register-Guard described Savage's presentation at the Ford Alumni Center as "blunt and provocative," saying many of the students at the question-and-answer session responded to what Savage said with "nervous laughter."  What some may call provocative, however, has been described by others as outrageous and beyond the pale.
