Public school superintendent makes anti-gay slurs with school board’s approval (not really)

Image
In a legal order released last week in response to a sexual orientation discrimination complaint, the Montgomery County (Maryland) Board of Education announced that it will not take any action against its school superintendent , Joshua Starr, for remarks he made against a local gay organization. Starr had labeled the organization’s pro-gay flyers as a “really, really disgusting message” and called the group’s actions “reprehensible and deplorable.” Even though Starr publicly made these remarks at a student town hall meeting in his official capacity as school superintendent, the School Board ruled that his anti-gay comments were only personal remarks and therefore protected under the First Amendment . What’s wrong with the above paragraph? Do you believe it? Replace the word “gay” with “ ex-gay ” and then it becomes more believable, and is actually true. The Montgomery County public school system (MCPS) is the largest public school system in Maryland, and the 17th largest in

How marriages fared during the US 2012 Election

Image
Until Tuesday, no state had redefined marriage by popular vote . Indeed, 32 out of 32 states that put the issue to a vote defined marriage as a union of a man and a woman. But in this week’s election, citizens in Maine , Maryland , and Washington State all passed ballot initiatives redefining marriage to include same-sex relationships. Meanwhile, citizens in Minnesota failed to pass a constitutional amendment defining marriage as a man and woman. (It remains so defined, however, by statutory law.) But a little perspective on the setback is in order. The results were close, and marriage did better in these deep blue states than Mitt Romney did. Of the four states that had marriage questions on the ballot, traditional marriage outperformed the presidential candidate in each and every one: - In Maine,  Romney  received 41 percent of the vote, while  marriage  received 47 percent. - In Maryland,  Romney  received 36 percent of the vote, while  marriage  received 48 perc

Same-sex ‘marriage’ on ballot in four states

Image
November 6, 2012 ( LifeSiteNews ) – Voters in Maine , Maryland , Minnesota and Washington will weigh in on the same-sex “marriage” issue in today’s elections.  Homosexual activists hope that President Obama ’s  recent endorsement  of same-sex “marriage” will influence voters to support gay nuptials in a statewide vote, a victory they have yet to win.  Today’s outcomes may have national implications in the face of two looming Supreme Court battles over the issue. In the month ahead, the Court will hear challenges to both the Defense of Marriage Act and Proposition 8, a ballot measure that repealed California’s same-sex “marriage” law. “If even in this environment we still lost all four [states], it would be a significant setback and we would have to re-evaluate the state by state strategy,” homosexual activist Richard Socarides told Politico. “If with all this money, and with the president’s backing, and with all the public support, we can’t even break even on these, the

Homosexual activists attack church

Image
Take a deep breath and then take a look at these pictures. Overnight, vandals attacked a small, 150-year old church with graffiti, leaving spray-painted swastikas to greet Pastor Steve DeGroft as he arrived this morning. Why? Because this church in Maine took a stand for marriage. Now ask yourself this question: Have you voted today? Have you done everything in your power to make sure that in Maine, Minnesota , Maryland , Washington , and Iowa that you or your friends and family have voted to protect marriage. Some states require a yes vote to protect marriage; some a vote no, against, or to reject same-sex marriage . Each of these races—in Maine, Washington, Maryland, Minnesota, and Iowa—is extremely close.  And our opponents know it. Take another look at that vandalized church. If you have not done everything in your power to get out the vote in these key states—or if you have not voted yourself—you are allowing this to occur, not just in Maine, but throughout the

New pro-marriage television ads feature victims of bullying by homosexual activists

Image
MINNEAPOLIS , November 2, 2012, - Two new television ads presented to voters by pro-marriage organizations are featuring victims of bullying by homosexual activists and their allies, whose habitual tactics of slander and intimidation were not widely reported by the mainstream media. One video sponsored by the Family Research Council and aired in opposition to homosexual “marriage” in Maryland , shows 14-year-old Sarah Crank and her mother describing  the viscous attacks  against Sarah by homosexuals following the girl’s testimony in favor of traditional marriage in the Maryland state legislature in January. ( Story continues following video .) The video shows quotes from public comments made on the Internet including “I hope you get raped by your married parents,” and “Stupid bitch, I hope you die on your birthday!”  “It never occurred to me in a million years that they would think about publicly attacking a child, publicly bullying a child,” says Crank’s mother

Kids taught Homosexual foreplay in PC schiool

Image
Gay marriage activists falsely claim time and time again that legalizing same sex-marriage won't change what is taught to our children in school. They should tell that to Kristy Howard, a mother in Maine whose child was taught about graphic homosexual foreplay during " Diversity Day " at Gorham Elementary and Middle School just last week. "I don't want my child taught heterosexual foreplay, let alone homosexual foreplay in school," she said. We couldn't agree more. Parental and children's rights advocates have long pointed out that  changing the definition of marriage will change what schools teach our children . Amazingly, the principal is still defending the choice to have "Diversity Day." Watch the local news report that was filed just last night: Gay marriage doesn't just mean it will be taught in schools in the future—it's already happening now  unless we act decisively . Please, please get this story ou

Unions force members to support Homosexual marriage

Image
You know that we've always been up against the media, Hollywood elites and a small but powerful cadre of billionaires who are all trying to push their gay marriage agenda on the country. And recently, corporate America has jumped in the fray, backing a same-sex marriage agenda that is simply bad for business. But now, another monolith has joined them:  Unions . Please  watch the story of Sarah Rowe  and hear her tell, in her own words, how her union openly endorsed same-sex marriage and pressured its members to do likewise: Here's just one quote from Sarah: It was made known [by my union] that faith shouldn't be a part of the discussion in the union meeting [which] made it more difficult for people to voice their actual opinion. Paul, I can't adequately convey the wealth and power that is arrayed against us in this fight.  Related articles Ten myths about gay 'marriage' Will November be same-sex marriage month? Obama and Homosexual Marriage

Image
Last week, I told you about the odds we face in the four battleground states—outspent, scorned in the media, with gay marriage advocates confidently predicting victory. But thanks to millions of Americans who've sacrificed their time and treasure to stand up for God's visions of marriage, pro-marriage messages are finally getting out: through churches and synagogues, through personal conversations, through social media, through letters to the editor—and through the ads crafted by NOM's own brilliant Frank Schubert. Now I'm here to tell you... Our Ads Are Working! Remember last week that I told you about the sudden turnaround in polling in Washington. Polls had gay marriage winning by as much as fourteen points, but after just one week of television ads the polls suddenly tightened, showing us within the margin of error and gay marriage advocates under 50 percent! This week, more good news: in Maryland , the miracle continues! Don't take my word for it,
