LGB vs. T: A crackup is looming in the LGBT community

Image
Prediction : by 2020, the LGBT acronym will have disappeared. The Ls, the Gs, the Bs, and the Ts will still be with us. But their alliance against the “straight” world will have broken up. You can already hear the distant boom-boom of breaking ice. The latest absurd episode of LGB versus T took place in the American state of Maine earlier this week at  Kennebunk High School . As a feature of its diversity week the school was to be the first in the state to fly the gay pride rainbow flag. But it was hauled down after a trans student complained that it might embarrass other trans students. Something similar happened last year  at the University of British Columbia . A trans woman incinerated a gay pride flag hoisted to celebrate LGBT OutWeek festivities. She later explained that she felt diminished when the university applauded the LGBT community . "Transsexual people do struggle with being marginalized within the LGBT community," said the chair of Vancouver's

‘Equality bullies are destroying public debate’ IBM, Coopers and the Macquarie University have been targeted by gay rights activitists

Bill Shorten , Australian Labor leader has promised immoral homosexual marriage would be legal in Australia after 100 days if voted into Parliament. Shorten also supports homosexual people not being bullied yet cares little about homosexual bullies intimidating companies who employ Christian who disagree with sodomy and homosexual marriage. The Anglican Archbishop of Sydney has slammed marriage equality campaigners, calling them bullies and accusing them of ruining the quality of debate in Australia . In a fiery opinion piece published in The Australian today, Archbishop Glenn Davies said recent verbal attacks on Christians showed how people with a “minority view” were trying to swamp public debate with an “introspective, authoritarian denial of free speech.” “What kind of diversity is so monochrome that it does not allow differing expressions of opinion in the debate?” he asked. The archbishop was referring to the cases Mark Allaby, an IBM managing partner , and Steve Chavu

LGBTQ ratings flop: Americans keep rejecting ‘gay’ programming

Image
As the Disney Corporation experiments with a “gay” subplot in its remake of  Beauty and the Beast , the recent ratings flop of an ABC miniseries extolling “gay rights” confirms that Americans are not tuning in to pro- LGBTQ programming. With great fanfare, ABC launched its “epic” miniseries,  When We Rise , about the “gay rights” revolution. As Heatstreet   reported , “ When We Rise  received saturation ad coverage during the Oscars ahead of its premiere this week.” But the hype didn’t work and the show tanked from the first episode (the four-part miniseries totaled eight hours).  Deadline reported  on  When We Rise’s  disappointing debut: “It was a noble effort, but viewers largely shunned it, with the opening two hours averaging a paltry 0.7 in 18-49 and 3 million viewers coming off the strong  Bachelor  lead-in. “ When We Rise  was the lowest-rated program on the Big 4 [CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX] and second lowest-rated overall last night, matching the CW’s Supergirl (0

The dark side of the homosexual rainbow

Image
It has taken less than a week for Coopers Brewery to go from supporting the Bible Society to supporting Australian Marriage Equality . And the tactics of the same-sex marriage lobby have been on full display for all Australians to see. By now we all ought to be able to recite the same-sex marriage playbook from memory – bullying , intimidation, boycotts and threats. That’s how the same-sex marriage lobby hopes to win over the hearts and minds of Australians. But Coopers was just the tip of the iceberg. Today the next step in the campaign to change Australia ’s marriage laws was revealed and it is every bit as ugly as the whole Coopers saga… Coopers was just the beginning In today’s Australian we learn that corporate giants like QANTAS have been ‘lobbying’ senior executives to sign an open letter to Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull pressuring him to break his election commitment on marriage. Here’s how The Australian have described the campaign to lobby business executives: The

Australian Marriage Equality advertisement demands politicians do their job

Image
Well, the reality is that politicians are doing their job. They are saying no to immoral illogical anti- biology anti-evolution homosexual marriage . The homosexual lifestyle suffers from serious health issues. The advertisement makes a substantial error. It portrays homosexuals in a range of normal jobs. The story it is trying to say is - we are just like you. We serve you in shops, we save you on the beach, we operate on you in the hospital.  The glaring error is that nobody questions homosexuals are people who may or may not hold jobs that influence others, serve others and build the community.  People object to homosexuals demanding to change the definition of marriage in order to seek some notion of equality. Marriage can't deliver equality as we have seen in the USA. They change the defition only to discover it doesn't change peoples minds. Whereas, most thinking Australian know the relationship itself is totally barren, against the designs of biology

Enough is enough. There are bigger issues than gay marriage

Image
The Senate’s rejection of the February 11 people’s vote on same-sex marriage should be the time to draw a line under this long-running saga. Most Australians don’t rate it as a top order issue and, quite frankly, have had enough. Even gay marriage advocates of the Turnbull Government such as Tim Wilson , Trent Zimmerman and their fellow traveller Warren Entsch have rightly said there is no plan B. It’s plebiscite or nothing. This was the Coalition’s election commitment; failure to honour it would be a breach of trust. Gay marriage now remains gridlocked for years and few will be worried about this, apart from activists in the inner city areas of Sydney and Melbourne where rainbow flags adorn shop windows. Quite frankly there are bigger issues facing the nation. There is no popular clamour for a change to the Marriage Act. Even the left-leaning GetUp! organisation’s supporters consistently rate same-sex marriage way down their list of priorities, with it coming in at number

Seven common myths about homosexual love

Image
Over the past week evangelicalism has witnessed an intriguing exchange surrounding the LGBTQ issue. Briefly, it began when RNS posted an   interview with Jen Hatmaker   in which she affirmed the holiness of LGBT relationships, to which   Rosaria Butterfield responded , to which   RNS responded . In reading these articles, and others like it, there seems to be a common confusion lining the discussion: What is love? What is unloving? What criteria determines if something is loving or not?  Often the unloving penalty flag is (unlovingly) thrown into the mix of these conversations. It’s not possible to dissect all the issues. But briefly, it’s worth pushing pause and examining what we often label “loving” and “unloving.” Individuals are correct when they insist on the priority of love. “For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself’” (Gal.   5:14 ). All that God commands is summed up in love. But this demands a ques

LifeWay Stops Selling Jen Hatmaker Books over LGBT Beliefs

Image
One of evangelical women’s favorite authors loses her place in one of America 's largest Christian chains Jen Hatmaker ’s recent remarks affirming LGBT relationships have lost her bestselling books a place on the shelves of LifeWay Christian Stores. The Southern Baptist chain stated Thursday that the author’s statements “contradict LifeWay’s doctrinal guidelines,” and it has discontinued selling her books in its 185 stores or online. Spokesman Marty King said: In the past, LifeWay Christian Resources published several resources with Jen Hatmaker. In a recent interview, she voiced significant changes in her theology of human sexuality and the meaning and definition of marriage—changes which contradict LifeWay’s doctrinal guidelines. Hatmaker declined to comment on the decision. LifeWay’s B&H Publishing released her 2012 book 7: An Experimental Mutiny Against Excess. Her most recent title, For the Love (Thomas Nelson), is a New York Timesbestseller. In an interview publi

Alberta gvmt launches investigation of Christian schools for refusing gay clubs

Image
Alberta’s New Democratic Party government has launched an inquiry into two private Christian schools whose board refuses to comply with government edicts regarding homosexuality and risks losing taxpayer assistance. Education Minister David Eggen told reporters that Independent Baptist Christian Education Society, which operates two schools with 200 students in Spruce Grove west of Edmonton and supervises 1,200 homeschooled students, had failed to provide a plan or written assurance it would comply with a new law forcing homosexual clubs at all schools. “They did not change their position,” Eggen told reporters Monday. “They did not give us any indication that they would provide written assurance that they would allow students to form a gay-straight alliance.” The minister said a third-party consultant will be appointed to examine, according to the Canadian Press , “what steps the society is taking to make all students have a safe and caring environment.” LGBT advoca
