ABC reporter blame Pastors for Homosexual mental health

Image
Once again, ABC Australia is blaming the church, but more precisely pastors for homosexual poor mental health. As usual the ABC spends time interviewing one Church leader who is bisexual from the Uniting church then another 'progressive' Baptist Pastor who disregards historical biblical interpretation on the sin of homosexuality and personally reinterprets homosexuality as a blessing of God .  The problem with the article written by Sarah Malik is that it shows little understanding of the scriptures, ignores the presence of a Godly conscience, misunderstands the power of sin even the existence of sin, the blindness of sin, the rebellion against God word and lastly the abandonment by God for homosexual behavior as outlined in Romans 1.  All of these actions, are identical to any person who sins intentionally or unintentionally against the will of God. The searing of the conscience comes first, the the withdrawal of God's restraint until God abandons them. This

Westpac Bank lied - homosexual marriage saves 3000 suicides

Westpac bank slammed for 'blackmailing' staff after it mass-emailed employees to vote 'yes' to same sex marriage using 'fudged statistics.' Westpac's youth network emailed 10,000 staff urging them to vote yes to SSM Called vote a 'no brainer' and claimed it would prevent 3,000 suicides a year. Email slammed as emotional 'blackmail' and a 'bad precedent' for the bank Statistic actually referred to suicide attempts that could be averted. Westpac sent an email to staff urging them to vote yes to gay marriage, claiming it would prevent 3,000 suicides a year. The message from the bank's youth network, representing staff under 30, was sent to 10,000 of 40,000 staff and called voting yes a 'no brainer'.  But the bank admitted its statistic used in the email was a mistake and actually referred to research only talking about suicide attempts. 'We said that we would get that information clarified to the staff and we

'A Declining World.' Mormon Leader Reaffirms Religion's Opposition to Same-Sex Marriage

Image
A top Mormon leader reaffirmed the religion's opposition to same-sex marriage on Saturday during a church conference watched by members around the world. Dallin H. Oaks , a member of a top governing body urged members to follow church teachings that dictate that marriage should be reserved for heterosexual men and women. He said that's the ideal home for children to be raised. Oaks acknowledged that this belief can put Mormons at odds with family and friends and doesn't match current laws, including the recent legalization of gay marriage in the United States . But he told the nearly 16-million members watching around the world that the religion's 1995 document detailing the doctrine — " The Family: A Proclamation to the World " — isn't' a policy statement that will be changed. "We have witnessed a rapid and increasing public acceptance of cohabitation without marriage and same-sex marriage. The corresponding media advocacy, education, and e

Christian student thrown out of university course - for calling homosexual marriage sinful

Image
In February 2016, the Social Work student Felix Ngole was subject to a ‘ Fitness to Practise Committee’ hearing at Sheffield University where he was in the second year of his Masters degree . This hearing was brought about due to concerns that he posted comments on his private Facebook account expressing his belief that homosexual behaviour was against the teachings of the bible and that gay marriage was sinful. Now a judge has ruled it was over the top. It means the dad of four can mount a judicial review at the High Court in London . The court could rule that he must be reinstated. He said: “The university claims my views are discriminatory but I am the one being discriminated against because of my expression of Christian beliefs .” Commenting on being removed from his course at the time, the father of four is quoted in the Telegraph as having said: “The way I was treated made me feel that their duty of care to me immediately ended from the day they received that com

Qld LNP leader votes yes for same-sex marriage misuses the Bible to justify sin

Image
Queensland Opposition Leader Tim Nicholls has voted in favour of same-sex marriage but said it was a difficult decision . The LNP leader told reporters in Brisbane on Sunday he had filled out his postal survey earlier that morning, after a lot of "interesting" discussions with his wife and three teenage children. "This has been really hard for me," he said. " I come from a traditional marriage, a traditional background. "  Mr Nicholls said ultimately it was St Paul's letter to The Corinthians , in the bible, which swayed him in favour of marriage equality. How is this possible when Romans 1 condemns the sin of homosexuality ? How does Mr Nicholls thinks 1 Corinthians 13:13 supports homosexual marriage ? Nicholls was quoting the Bible "He says faith, hope, love and the greatest of these is love," he said. " And on that basis I voted yes ." So, on that basis - "greatest of these is love" - he voted for h

GetUp! a thought police bully in same-sex debate

Image
If the No side of the same-sex marriage debate mounted a hateful, personal attack on the career and livelihood of an individual who spoke out against its views, the condemnations would be deafening. And rightly so. In singling out Sydney general practitioner Pansy Lai in an online petition demanding an investigation into her registration, GetUp!, a leading advocate for a Yes vote in the upcoming plebiscite, has revealed its true nature. Far from wanting to “bring participation back into our democracy’’ as it pretends, GetUp! is so intolerant of those with opposing views that it wants to bully them into silence. As Dennis Shanahan reports today, almost 6000 signatories to the GetUp! petition against Dr Lai, who spoke out publicly as a mother in an anti-same-sex marriage advertisement, call on the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and the Australian Medical Association to review her registration. The persecution by GetUp! raises an important question about what protecti

Australian Christian against Homosexual Marriage

Image
Australians are being asked to vote on whether marriage should be redefined to include homosexual couples. The Australian Christian Churches urges all Christians to vote “no” at the upcoming postal plebiscite, because we believe there is a lot more at stake.  1. Upholding the Biblical Definition of Marriage The Biblical view of marriage is a lifelong, exclusive union between a man and a woman. This definition is made crystal clear in Genesis 1 and 2 which lays out God’s blueprint for human sexuality. It is endorsed by Jesus in Matthew 19v5 and by the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 5v21. Redefining marriage to include homosexual couples is completely contrary to clear Biblical teaching. This is an important consideration for Bible believing Christians, yet it is only one reason we should vote “no” to same sex marriage. People need to realise that same sex marriage will profoundly change Australian society and impinge upon our freedoms.  2. Legalising Same Sex Marriage Means

The debate isn't about homosexual discrimination but changing the definition of marriage.

“ Don’t LGBTI couples deserve equality? ” Every man and woman in Australia needs to know they’re equally valuable to God . This applies to LGBTI people just as it does for everyone else. So Christians are against any law that unfairly discriminates against an LGBTI person.  We actively supported the Same-Sex Relationships reforms in 2008 because it provided equal treatment, such as with laws to do with superannuation.  Minister Tanya Plibersek said at the time, “We removed every piece of legal discrimination against gay men, lesbians and same-sex couples on the statute books”.1 It was the right thing to do for individuals.  Today the debate isn’t really about discrimination – as Minister Plibersek says, the discrimination had been removed. It’s about changing the definition of marriage .  And when that happens, it could actually create new forms of discrimination. That’s because marriage is a compound right: the right of two adults to commit to a binding u
