Lying, coercing, defrauding, and scheming - for marriage equality! The latest ‘gay bashing’ hoax

Image
Feb. 17, 2014 ( MattWalsh ) - We all know the score. This is how the game is played. They lie, and cooperate with lies, and become willing participants in things that are very likely to be lies, and they do it all for the greater good. Did you hear about the infamous gay bashing birthday party RSVP from earlier this week? The story set social media on fire.  Two gay dads threw a tie dye party for their 7-year-old daughter, Sophia, and invited all of the neighborhood children over to celebrate. But some anti-gay mother (probably a Christian, as countless people on Facebook and Twitter observed) declined the invitation, and she did so in the rudest way possible. Rather than simply offering a polite ‘sorry, we can’t make it,’ she jotted down a vicious anti-gay rant, and sent it to Sophia’s dads. The note said:  “Tommy will NOT attend. I do not believe in what you do and will not subject my innocent son to your “lifestyle.” I’m sorry Sophia has to grow up this wa

Can we change the minds of gay marriage zealots?

http://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2013/12/being-against-gay-marriage-doesnt-make-you-a-homophobe/282333/ The  Atlantic  has up until now been horrendous about labeling anyone who doesn't support same-sex marriage homophobes . But they published this piece by a gay guy saying that gays should stop labeling people homophobes just because they don't agree with their hard-boiled and uncompromising "equality" ( Orwellian phrase) agenda. I thank Brandon Ambrosino for this gesture. But I don't think it's much of a game changer. I've heard this before -- many, many, many times, from the people pushing same-sex parenting. They want to listen, to understand, to be respectful ... as long as we eventually admit to having been wrong, shut up, and let them go on pushing their sexual destruction on every corner of the globe. I've been around the block with ligbitist writers too many times not to recognize this sly little game: knowing they're gett

Being Against Gay Marriage Doesn’t Make You a Homophobe

Author: Danny Burke. Last April, Brandon Ambrosino authored one of the most compelling articles that I have read all year: “ Being Gay at Jerry Falwell’s University .” Appearing in  The Atlantic , the essay is his own story of coming out of the closet while he was an undergraduate at Liberty University . What riveted me about his account is how the Christians at Liberty University responded to the revelation of his sexuality. He had feared that they would want to stone him. But instead, he found out that quite the opposite happened. Even though professors and administrators believed homosexuality to be a sin, they loved him and embraced him with open arms. His expectations of these Christians were so low that he realized he had been suffering from “homophobia phobia .” These fundamentalist Christians didn’t turn out to be the nasty caricatures that they are often made out to be. Earlier today, Ambrosino released another article for  The Atlantic , and I think it is just as signi

Italian member of parliament blasts national broadcaster for bias on ‘anti-homophobia’ bill

Image
A Sicilian member of the Italian parliament has blasted the nation’s public broadcaster over bias in favor of the pending “anti- homophobia ” bill after the broadcaster abruptly canceled an appearance by a prominent opponent of the bill.   On November 3 rd , RAI TV ( Radiotelevisione Italiana ) aired a program that was advertised as a debate on the issue of homophobia with  Giancarlo Cerrelli , the vice president of the Unione Giuristi Cattolici (Union of Catholic Lawyers). But at the last moment, the broadcaster withdrew its invitation, and the mother of a homosexual boy was substituted.  PDL Deputy Alessandro Pagano blasted RAI TV, saying that while the mainstream media may have “a vested interest to disclose a positive and reassuring image of the LGBT lobby ,” RAI should be held to a different standard as the ostensible representative of the whole country. Instead, they have demonstrated “a partial and ideological perspective” on an issue that is “sensitive and extremely de

Am I homophobic a bigot, a hater?

Image
By definition, homophobia is fear of homosexuals, but its meaning has been broadened to include hate for homosexuals. Correspondingly, being homophobic tends to manifest itself through an outward demonstration or behavior based on such a feeling.  This, in turn, sometimes leads to acts of violence or expressions of hostility. The truth is that homophobia is not just confined to any one segment of society. It can be found in people from all walks of life. Such hate groups have viciously attacked homosexuals and have used especially violent language in attempting to persecute and intimidate homosexuals. More often than not, Christians are said to be homophobic simply because they condemn homosexual behavior as sin. But the fact is that the term  homophobic  is merely a word used by homosexual activists and supporters in their attempts to deflect a genuine criticism of an immoral and unhealthy practice. Without question, there are people and organizations who have developed an i

Homosexuality removed as a disorder by APA based on a vote not science

The  President of the National Council  of the order of psychologists, Luigi Palma, said, “It is very serious that the detractors of the anti- homophobic   laws  repeat, among others, the idea that homosexuality is a disease to be cured and, consequently, that homosexual orientation can be changed.” D’ Agostino called Palma's statement “absolutely unconscionable” and noted that those who had opposed the bill for serious legal reasons had been exposed to “a variety of violent attacks, including some that were very crude from gay movements." Palma, in his attempt to shut down opposition, “is actually proving to be a valuable ally of those who believe that the true goal of a law against homophobia is to muzzle the freedom of scientific research and, more generally, of the free manifestation of thought,” D’Agostino added. The claim made by Palma and others that homosexuality is normal and must never be subjected to psychological treatment is based on false premises, D’A

Left guilty of ‘arrogant bullying’ of homophobia law opponents, Italian law prof says

Image
ROME, August 29, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – A statement from the head of the Italian psychologists’ association, condemning those who have opposed the proposed “anti-homophobia” law as homophobes , is a case of “arrogant bullying” an Italian law professor has said in a scathing editorial. Francesco D’Agostino, Professor of Philosophy of Law at the University of Rome Tor Vergata , said in  an editorial in Avvenire , the newspaper of the Italian Catholic Bishops, that the accusation is supporting an “an absurd paradigm” in which “some statements, such as those that support that homosexuality is a disease, should be deemed not only false…but deserving of social stigma and repression, if not downright criminal.” The controversy stems from  a statement  issued this week by the President of the National Council of the order of psychologists, Luigi Palma, which said, “It is very serious that the detractors of the anti-homophobic laws repeat, among others, the idea that homosexuality

Anti-homophobia law ‘stifling’

Image
The status of Italy ’s draft anti- homophobia law remains uncertain the morning after a late-night debate in the Chamber of Deputies . Deputies failed to come to a final decision on the bill that has been panned as a means to shut down public opposition to planned “gay marriage” and civil unions laws. The debate is expected to be continued through the rest of the week, with the bill possibly not going to a vote until the House reconvenes in September. Eugenia Rocella Eugenia Roccella, a PdL Deputy and former feminist who has embraced the pro-life position, has opposed the bill, accusing leftist elements in the government of attempting to stifle the debate and asking why it was being brought forward at the last possible moment before the summer break. “It’s absurd that at a time when the country expects answers to the problems of the [economic] crisis, and when Parliament is crowded with decrees, to insist on entering at all costs the law on homophobia. [Maybe] the Lef
