‘The Notebook’ director says if we back gay marriage, why not incest?

Image
HOLLYWOOD, –  Defenders of marriage have long said if the institution is redefined beyond one man and one woman, there is no clear end to the new combinations that could be considered “marriage.” A growing body of evidence shows the popular culture, led by Hollywood elites, do not intend to stop with same-sex unions. Nick Cassavetes compared same-sex "marriage" with incest in a positive light. Nick Cassavetes, the director of the romantic film  The Notebook , told reporters at the debut of his new film that incest is no different than allowing same-sex weddings. “Love who you want, isn’t that what we say? Gay marriage – love who you want,” he said. “If you’re not having kids, who gives a damn?” the son of legendary director John Cassavetes and actress Gena Rowlands asked in  an interview  with  The Wrap  while premiering his new film,  Yellow , which features an incestuous affair between a brother and sister. “If it’s your brother or sister it’s super-weird, but

Churches object to homosexual marriage not because they are loosing power

Regardless of the health statistics, relationship breakdown and multiple defacto relationships strewn across the landscape. There is no doubt that civil celebrants offer marriage services to the unsaved who do not wish to darken the walls of a church, because they have lived together in fornication and at some point want to legitimate their relationship often because someone maybe preganat. Some defacto's choose to use a cele

No one has the power to redefine marriage

June 12, 2012 ( HLIAmerica.org ) - It is not for federal judges to redefine marriage for us. When they do, it is tantamount to cultural suicide, and we should not be surprised at the cultural and social degradation sure to follow. William Bennett writes in his book The De-Valuing of Society, “Our common culture … embodies truths that most Americans can recognize and examine for themselves. These truths are passed down from generation to generation, transmitted in the family, in the classroom, and in our churches and synagogues.” But the truths of our culture and the traditional American family are now being attacked and demagogued like never before in our history in the name of “tolerance” and “rights.” Granting homosexuals a newly created “right” to marry will have unimaginable detrimental effects on society. The fact that the federal courts have no constitutional authority to grant rights is only one aspect of the problem. They positively have no authority to define mar

Hollywood: Driving the Homosexual Agenda for 40 Years

Ellen DeGeneres in 2009. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Hollywood celebrities exuberantly celebrated President Obama’s recent declaration of support for gay marriage. But Hollywood did not have to come out of the closet and support homosexuality – it has long used its influence to purposely swing public opinion in favor of homosexuality. For several decades, Hollywood has shown its overt support for homosexuality. Brokeback Mountain was nominated for Best Picture for its unabashedly sympathetic portrayal of a doomed gay relationship. Newt Gingrich ’s half-sister officiated at a gay wedding on “Friends” in the 1990s. More recently, late night talk show host Conan O’Brian officiated at an actual gay wedding. Homosexual advocacy on television first began to manifest itself in the 1970’s. In 1972, made for TV movie “That Certain Summer” featured Hal Holbrook and Martin Sheen as a gay couple. In 1973, “An American Family” was the first television show to feature an openly gay charac

Catholic actor Martin Sheen: ‘the Church is not God’ on gay ‘marriage’ issue

Martin Sheen (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) LOS ANGELES , April 3, 2012 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) - Actor Martin Sheen has defended his position in favor of redefining marriage despite his Catholic faith, saying that “my religion’s highest standard is conscience .” Sheen was asked about the apparent conflict between his Catholic identity and his stance on marriage by the  Wilshire & Washington blog  following his performance in a play that raised $2 million for a gay rights lobby group. Sheen played the role of one of the plaintiffs in the play “8,” a dramatic rendition of the Proposition 8 trials written by Dustin Lance Black , who also wrote the screenplay for the 2008 movie Milk. Actor Martin Sheen “My religion’s highest standard is conscience. Nothing can get between your conscience and God , not even the Church, because for 2,000 years, my Church has been lifting up as exemplary various men and women in their lives who have served as inspiration to all of us over the centuries, an

Poll: USA Majority Say Same-Sex Relations Are OK

The influence of media, hollywood and a small savy group have forced a social attitude change in the USA . Those who oppose gay marriage are painted as bigots against love and fairness. The gay agenda uses language in a certain way to manipulate emotions. Americans no longer base their morals on scripture but what Hollywood and media says. Wealthy gay persons now fund various politicans who will vote for anything as long as you pay them a bribe.  The state of New York began issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples earlier this week. New York's decision to expand the definition of marriage to include gay couples, which affects the third-largest state population in the U.S., is seen by many as an important symbolic victory in the fights over gay rights and marriage. In the days leading up to the new legislation, proponents of gay marriage said that traditional marriage advocates would find themselves on the wrong side of history. A long-running beliefs poll indicates a d
