The new homosexual moralism: disagree you're branded a hater

An interactive map released this week by U.S. geography students shows what regions in America originate the highest number of racist and homophobic posts on Twitter . The number of tweets with 'hateful' sentiments in a certain area is expressed in a range of colours from light blue to bright red, a style known as a heat map. In this case, the students have called it a "hate map." Will Canada ban Bible under the Hate Speech legislation?

The Story:  On Wednesday, Canada 's Supreme Court  upheld a ban on "hate speech" contested by a Christian activist, ruling that the country's hate speech ban "is a reasonable limit on freedom of religion and is demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society." The Background:  William Whatcott, a former homosexual turned Christian activist, published and distributed flyers in 2001 and 2002 which which contained various harsh statements about homosexuals and pedophiles. A complaint was filed with Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission alleging Whatcott was promoting hatred against individuals based on their sexual orientation . The  Human Rights Tribunal held  the publications contravened a section of the  Saskatchewan Human Rights Code  on the basis that Whatcott's views exposed persons to hatred and ridicule on the basis of their sexual orientation. Whatcott argued that he was entitled to make the statements based on his constitut

Supreme Court labelled truth ‘hate speech’ in homosexuality case

WEYBURN, Saskatchewan , 4 March, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – Not finding vindication in Canada ’s highest court , the country’s most controversial self-styled Christian evangelist has taken to the blogosphere to defend his innocence and exonerate himself from the judges’  unanimous pronouncement  that he is guilty of “ hate speech ”. “The reasoning for ruling that two of my four flyers should be deemed ‘hate speech’ is specious and fantastical at best, or dishonest and totalitarian at worst,”  wrote  Bill Whatcott today on his blog FreeNorthAmerica. Bill Whatcott Whatcott said that two of his flyers deemed hate speech by the Court contained only facts about the dangers of the homosexual lifestyle and the biblical word for men who have sex with men. “ The Supremes didn’t like that I used the Biblical word ‘sodomite’ to describe folks who commit sodomy and they thought using statistics showing the down side of homosexual behaviour, even if backed up with peer reviewed s

If you believe in marriage you will be guilty of hate speech even murder

Kirk Cameron (Image via RottenTomatoes.com) Apparently believing that marriage is between a man and a woman, as millions like you and I do—and saying so publicly— is hate speech and equivalent to murder . This is what we are fighting against every day:  a vicious attempt to impose a radical social agenda while trying to silence anybody who disagrees. You see, recently, actor Kirk Cameron went on the Piers Morgan show to promote his new film,  Monumental . Cameron is a devout Christian and father of six (four of whom he adopted), who is not afraid to stand up for his beliefs—which he did when Piers (as he has been doing with so many social conservatives lately) turned the conversation quickly toward same-sex marriage. Cameron explained that he believed marriage "was defined by God a long time ago...one man, one woman for life, till death do us part." Well, as I'm sure you can guess, his answer and the subsequent discussion generated a swift and intense backlash. And

Supreme Court of Canada anti-gay ‘hate speech’ case could be decisive for religious freedom

Image via Wikipedia OTTAWA, October 13, 2011 - A case argued before the Supreme Court yesterday, if decided the wrong way, could result in “a virtual open season on anyone communicating a religiously informed position on any matter of public policy,” according to Don Hutchinson , general legal counsel for the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada , which intervened in the case - Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission ( SHRC ) v. William Whatcott.  The four-hour-long hearing had a record 21 interveners arguing both sides of a sharply divided stance on free and religious speech vs. hate speech and its interpretation by human rights commissions and tribunals.
