Letting Jussie Smollett Gay stunt Go Free Is a Step Toward Civil War

Image
There’s a crude but vivid expression. People who are overly accepting of sexual immorality have been known to use it. They say they don’t care what anyone else does so long as it “doesn’t frighten the horses.” Well, the decision of Cook County prosecutors not to prosecute Jussie Smollett for his hate crime hoax? That’s so perverse, it does frighten the horses. In fact, it might give them a heart attack, as in the infamous scene from Animal House. The point of that jaded expression? That you don’t mind it when sinners flout God. But you don’t want them to shock people. Or to be so indiscreet that they disgust large numbers of people, and provoke them to a reaction. Because when folks see the prospect of total chaos, they sometimes do ugly things. They might throw out their own standards, deciding “all bets are off.” Or contrarywise, they might demand a crackdown, or even take the moral law into their own hands. So we hope for some discretion, maybe even hypocrisy — the tribute vice pay

‘Jesus Never Mentioned Homosexuality!’ Why Not?

Image
“Jesus never mentioned homosexuality!” That often-heard statement is one of the quickest and most common excuses people give for approving homosexual practice. Does it hold any weight biblically, though? And if it is true that Jesus never mentioned it, does that really justify such behavior? The answer is “no” to both questions. Here’s why. He Didn’t Need to Say It For It To Be True Jesus didn’t mention any number of sins. For example, He never mentioned child sexual abuse or wife beating. Does that mean He was okay with them? Jesus didn’t need to comment on such behavior. In the first century Judaism, there was no debate about its sinfulness. He would have been preaching to the choir. The “Jesus never mentioned it” argument assumes that only the words of Jesus are divinely inspired. It’s a “biblical” argument that ignores the rest of the Bible. It also ignores Jesus’ own witness to the divine origin of Scripture ( Mark 12:35-36 ). Most of what Jesus said wasn’t even recorded in

Gay Pride is not the enemy

Image
Here we are at the time of the San Francisco gay pride parade. LGBTQ+ people will be proudly demonstrating and asking society to celebrate their gay and transgendered lifestyles. I know that the church will have mixed reactions to this display of pride. Some will turn their noses up at the idea that anyone could possibly be proud of such an abhorrent lifestyle. Others will be glad that their homosexual friends are finally able to find some peace and acceptance.  They may even wonder if being gay isn’t as bad as the Bible seems to suggest. But as for me, I was that boy who grew up having only sexual desires for males and none for females, being made fun of and called “faggot” on the playground, going through life feeling there was something deeply wrong with me at my uttermost core.  If one day, I had decided I couldn’t take it anymore and I came out of the closet—the most vulnerable, dangerous, and potentially isolating thing I could possibly do—but was then welcomed with op

Hypocrisy of Human Right Campaign (Gay)

Image
Last week, Senator Lindsey Graham gave a resounding defense of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, standing up for his character and calling out Democrats who laid in wait to sabotage his nomination with last minute, unfounded, allegations of sexual misconduct dating back several decades. Graham's defense of Kavanaugh garnered international media coverage. To get even with Graham for his principled defense of Kavanaugh, the leftist "comedy" program Saturday Night Live lampooned Graham, calling him a "queen," implying that the South Carolina bachelor Senator is gay. They meant this as an insult, something designed to damage him in the court of public opinion. Now get this: The nation's leading pro-gay group, the grossly-misnamed Human Rights Campaign (HRC), said…nothing. So being anti-gay is now OK, provided the attack comes from the left. If it were to come from a group on the right, there would be calls for national boycotts, investigations, pro

Pedophiles put themselves under the LGBT umbrella in rebranding effort

Image
A paedophile group is trying to destigmatize paedophilia by calling themselves “Minor-Attracted Persons” (MAPs) rather than paedophiles. Gay groups are up in arms because in the process the same paedophile group is claiming to be part of the LGBT community, even having gone so far as to create their own version of the rainbow flag for Gay Pride Month.   This should come as no surprise. In essence, the MAP group is attempting to re-hitch its wagon to the gay community, which, for the sake of political – and judicial – expediency, distanced themselves from the paedophile cause beginning a few decades ago. For the last dozen years or so, the gay rights movement has focused the lion’s share of its energy on what appear to many to be conservative issues: winning same-sex marriage and the right to openly serve in the military.   Yet the warm, fuzzy, family-oriented, “American as baseball and apple pie” picture of gay culture presented to the world by gay activists is a far cr

Catholic church- God did NOT make you gay - it is against God's holy nature

On  Thursday’s EWTN The World Over  Father Gerald Murray took apart the heterodox notion floated by some in the Church that the Lord creates people to be “gay”. He also derided the idea that God would make someone the wrong sex. The New York priest and Canon lawyer made his comments during this week’s Papal Posse segment with the program’s host Raymond Arroyo and editor of  The Catholic Thing, Robert Royal.  Arroyo had asked Murray and Royal to comment on the Vatican having included the term “LGBT” in the working document for the upcoming Youth Synod. News of the controversial move surfaced this week - the first time the Holy See has used the term in an official document. Catholics have been expressing concern that the Vatican is further capitulating to the “gay” lobby, and not surprisingly has been lauded by the “LGBT” movement for its “gay”-affirming actions. “This is a big problem,” Murray stated. “We do not use the political language of the gay rights and associa
