Facebook deletes pro-family page for ‘hate speech’ against LGBT

Image
Over the weekend Facebook unpublished the page of a prominent social-conservative group for allegedly using unspecified “hate speech,” Americans for Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH) president Peter LaBarbera revealed Monday. AFTAH is dedicated to “apply[ing] the same single-minded determination to opposing the radical homosexual agenda and standing for God-ordained sexuality and the natural family as countless homosexual groups do in promoting their harmful agenda.” LaBarbera frequently debates homosexual issues on mainstream and pro-LGBT media and has written for LifeSiteNews. On Sunday, Facebook took down AFTAH’s Facebook page entirely, leaving only a “Page Not Found” message in its place as of the time of this writing. For years, Facebook group allowed older gay men to exploit homeless boys for sex

Image
A startling  investigative report  reveals that for years Facebook (FB) allowed the existence of a group page where older gay men negotiated the trading of sex for shelter for young homeless men. The in-depth report,  issued by Buzzfeed , chronicles the plight of young men with no place to stay who surrender their safety, health, and dignity for a warm bed or couch at night.    “We uncover some of the damage done to these young men – the sexual violence – by landlords, and reveal how they are being enabled by two major internet companies, one of which is Facebook,” states Buzzfeed. “The world’s largest social media platform … is hosting explicit posts from landlords promising to house in return for gay sex .” “At best, impoverished young men are seeking refuge in places where they are at risk of sexual exploitation,” continues the report. “At worst, teenagers are being kept in domestic prisons where all personal boundaries are breached, where their lives are in danger.”

College suspends Christian philosopher for expressing ‘aversion’ to homosexuality on Facebook

Image
A Christian philosophy professor and award-winning lecturer at a post-secondary institution has been suspended for remarks he made on social media about homosexuality. Jean Laberge, a philosophy teacher at the Cégep du Vieux-Montréal since 1994, has been placed on leave pending sanctions by college administration.  Laberge posted a note on Facebook on January 17 where he said that he had “aversion” and “distaste” for homosexuals, reported  Radio-Canada . He spoke of “fear” and his lack of comprehension for homosexuality while also saying he “respected” the condition. This note no longer appears on Laberge’s  Facebook page.   The teacher was suspended on January 30 for what the cégep’s spokeswoman Guylaine Fortin is now calling “an extended period.”  A cégep, unique to the educational system of the Canadian province of Quebec , is a post-secondary, pre-university college. Typically its teenage students attend for three years if they do not plan on going on to university

Catholic School sack newly married lesbian teacher

Image
Some confused Biblically illiterate parents are speaking out after a first grade teacher was fired after she posted pictures of her immoral sinful lesbian wedding on social media. Jocelyn Morffi taught first grade at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School in Miami for seven years. Last weekend, she married her girlfriend and posted pictures of the ceremony to Facebook . On Thursday, Morffi was fired. In a letter to parents, Principal Carlota Morales called it a “difficult and necessary” decision. Nearly a dozen parents who had children in Morffi’s class came to the school to protest her firing. The parents called her a “great teacher” and said they were aware that she is openly gay and that it made no difference. But it does make a difference as their role according to their contract is to lead and guide children spiritually towards God and not sin. “I’m upset,” parent Christina Lopez told WPLG . “The way they handled this was just unbelievable.” But how else would the school h

LGBT group finds America doesn’t like its radical identity politics anymore, panics

Acceptance of “LGBT” people – which had experienced a dramatic upswing in recent years – has peaked and begun to decline according to a report unveiled by the LGBT media advocacy group GLAAD . The  GLAAD report , based on a Harris Poll , set off loud alarm bells, sirens, and flashing lights in gay and mainstream media. One headline  trumpeted , “Shocking report finds acceptance of LGBTQ people is rolling backwards in the age of Trump.” “In a single year, we’ve seen significant declines from what had been an increasingly accepting America to one now less supportive,” Harris Polling said in a statement from a GLAAD press release, adding, “this lost ground of acceptance cuts across many in American society.” In last year's report, 53 percent of Americans said they were “very” or “somewhat” comfortable with LGBT people. This year, that figure dropped four points to 49 percent, nearly an 8% decrease. LGBT, Inc. is scared. As it turns out, LGBT, Inc. was prematurely con

Facebook says group wanting to ‘burn…alive’ Christian mom meets ‘Community standards’

A Facebook group wanting to “burn...alive” a U.S. Christian pro-family activist who takes bold stances against feminism, political correctness , and the LGBT lobby "doesn't go against...Community Standards,” according to Facebook . Conservative blogger  Elizabeth Johnston , also known as “The Activist Mommy,” took umbrage when she found a Facebook group called “I will find The Activist Mommy and burn whoever runs it alive.” The Activist Mommy's common sense and bucking of political correctness have gained her large online audiences. Her social media accounts have been targeted for censorship by  Facebook  and  Twitter .  Johnston first reported the group to Facebook for “harassment” and then encouraged others to flag it.   Facebook responded to Johnston,  saying  that the group didn’t “go against one of [Facebook’s] specific community standards.” The Facebook moderator suggested that Johnston send the exact content that she deemed harassment, like a photo,

Woman explains why she left ‘super wild’ lesbian lifestyle to follow Christ

Immersed in the gay lifestyle from age fifteen, Emily Thomes’ life was transformed when she encountered the real God. Rebellious from an early age, Emily’s actions led her into immoral choices.  “I met my need for attention by constantly ‘going against the grain,’” she  explains  online and in a  viral video  released last week.   “I partied, slept around, and by fifteen I came out as a lesbian to some friends,” Emily continued in the  Anchored North -produced video.  “I cut my hair short, wore boy clothes, and used men’s bathrooms and dressing rooms.” She figured God was okay with her doings, because “God being love meant God was nice.”  Her view of God was one of benevolent all-acceptance.  “God was chill with what you were cool with,” she thought. As she became more and more openly gay , she delved deeper and deeper into perversion.  “I enjoyed the thrill of doing and being what was outside the norm—trying harder drugs, exploring even more taboo sexual acts, and getting a

University student dismissed for expressing Biblical view on homosexuality

Image
A recent UK court decision upheld the decision of University authorities to remove a student, Felix Ngole, from a post-graduate Social Work course, because of views he had expressed in a public social media forum about the Bible’s view on homosexuality. In my opinion the decision is a shocking breach of principles governing both religious freedom and freedom of speech, and should be over-turned as soon as possible. For Australian readers, it is also a salutary reminder that when the law on marriage changes, it becomes harder to protect religious and other freedoms. The decision,  Ngole, R (On the Application Of) v University of Sheffield  [2017] EWHC 2669 (Admin) (27 October 2017), was an application for judicial review of an administrative decision made by the Appeals Committee of the University of Sheffield Senate, on appeal from a disciplinary decision (made by a “Fitness to Practice” committee in the Department of Sociological Studies) to in effect expel Mr Ngole from hi
