The Church of England no longer follows the Bible but follows culture.  On Sunday, the Church of England’s governing body, the General Synod , voted by an overwhelming majority not simply to welcome but also  to affirm transgender people . The world now feels a better place. Casting doubt on their lived experience is well known to be harmful to trans people, who often have to assert the reality of their gender identity when those around them are perplexed by or hostile to what they are saying. The Church of England’s apparent uncertainty about trans people had contributed to this. Here is the Church of England statement, regarding the sin of homosexuality: "There are very many Christian counsellors and spiritual directors, as well as vicars and lay pastoral workers, who meet regularly with Christians with same-sex attraction .  They do so because the person has come to them, and because they want to explore their sexual desires within the framework of the Bible and Christian discipleship . They are looking for pastoral and Godly help to enable them to live full, Christian lives, within the natural order which God created ." The Church of England is considering the creation of a liturgy to affirm transgenders in their sex “change that could aggravate its own internal divide and further sunder Anglican Communion worldwide. An official  said  that while no one can be “re-baptized,” the church founded by King Henry VIII may decide to “re-christen” transgenders with their new name and opposite sex “identity.” “It is a fundamental belief of the Church that baptism can only be received once,” Synod Secretary General William Nye  affirmed .   The ancient Nicene Creed of universal Christendom delineates that there is “one baptism for the remission of sins,” reflecting the Apostle Paul ’s declaration in Ephesians 4:5 and the Apostle Peter ’s exhortation in Acts 2:38 . Anglican church leaders from Africa and Asia are considering consecrating a bishop who stands for biblical truth on the sin of homosexuality - as a ‘missionary’ to the UK , without permission from the Archbishop of Canterbury . Deep divisions have arisen in the global Anglican church over LGBT issues, which has been exacerbated by the shift in culture and by some Anglican who are homosexual in defiance of scripture. In the past few years, LGBT infiltrated churches with homosexual leaders have become angry because of African archbishops who are against LGBT sin, while the Church of England is also considering adopting a more liberal non-biblical stance. The General Synod of the Church of England met to discuss the acceptability of same-sex sin, a huge rainbow appeared over Church House, Westminster . The bishops had produced a report. The report called for a “change of tone” towards LGBTI people. The bishops refused to budge on the question of same-sex couples getting married in church. And so the immoral secular clergy of the C of E threw the report out , leaving the bishops stunned in that they now realize that the clergy are no longer Christian nor do they support the scripture. Wednesday’s vote in Synod was not a victory for the LGBT lobby. In whatever way that vote in synod is spun, the real issue is not about same-sex marriage but about the authority of the Bible in the Church of England . The effect of the vote is that there is no change in doctrine or practice. Marriage remains, as it has for all Christendom, a lifelong union between a man and a woman. This moment presents a great opportunity for the House of Bishops to embrace that truth and to act to uphold it firmly within the Church, disciplining those who would seek to abandon the authority of the Bible, and whose actions will eventually bring down the Church by actively denying that truth. The Church of England is considering plans to hide the homosexual sin of homosexual clergy in bid to avert a growing rift over its treatment of gays and lesbians . In so doing, because they are not instigating any church discipline of homosexual sin of their clergy - the Church of England is no longer a church. Under the current system, homosexual members of the clergy are asked to be celibate, change jobs or seek a promotion to become a bishop when they are ordained. Fourteen Church of England priests who have married their same sex partners have urged Anglican bishops to be bold and take the church forward in its stance on homosexuality and gay marriage. But forward into a sinful abyss is the only direction left for it. The direction is away from God and scripture.
