Jesus and Homosexuality

Image
Our Lord Jesus Christ (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) NEW TESTAMENT REFERENCES TO HOMOSEXUALITY In Romans 1:18–32 Paul writes of the wrath of God that has been revealed against all ungodliness and unrighteousness. The reason for His wrath is that people have perverted the revelation of God. This perversion substituted the glory of the true God with gods made in images of people and birds and animals and crawling creatures, which people themselves made. As a result, God passed sentence on the world. Three times Paul says that God gave people over to various lusts and perversions, which include homosexuality and lesbianism (Rom. 1:24, 26, 28). “For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due pena

CHICAGO, July 29, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews ) – The Archbishop of Chicago is under fire from local political leaders after threatening deny funding to several members of the  Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights  (ICIRR), which recently came out in support of same-sex “marriage.” In a May 23  statement , ICIRR had written, “As an organization dedicated to the full inclusion of all Americans, whether foreign-born or native-born … ICIRR supports marriage equality.” Cardinal Francis George The Chicago diocese’s Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) has been contributing between $25,000 and $30,000 each year to several of ICIRR’s member groups to aid humanitarian efforts in poverty-stricken neighborhoods. But since CCHD funding agreements are contingent on recipients not supporting agendas contrary to the Catholic faith, Archbishop Francis Cardinal George recently notified member groups that CCHD will be unable to provide any more funding unless the groups sev

Dominican Republic ‘Black Monday’ protest against Obama’s homosexual-activist ambassador

Image
The outrage of Dominican religious leaders to the Obama administration’s appointment of a homosexual activist as ambassador to the country has sparked a call for a nation-wide protest, dubbed " Black Monday ," to take place July 15. Christian leaders are asking people to wear a black arm band, to show a black banner or ribbon on cars, or to dress entirely in black on Monday, to show that the public rejects the US State Department's promotion of its homosexual agenda in their country. While US embassy spokesman Daniel Foote, currently the acting ambassador to the Dominican Republic , denied that James "Wally" Brewster would promote the US administration's homosexual agenda, saying in a brief statement to the media that "Brewster arrives as an ambassador, he's not coming here as an activist for the gay community," and stressing that Brewster was nominated because of his skills as an international businessman and his ideas on democrac

Boston cops must defer to transgender crooks

Image
Criminals just got more rights in the city of Boston – at least, those who identify as transgender . According to new regulations, officers of the Boston Police Department must use a transgender suspect's preferred first name, find out whether the person likes to be called “he” or “she,” allow him to choose whether male or female officers perform his frisking, and give any transgender inmate a private ride to and from court. New BPD rules say police must use the name anyone who is arrested prefers, “even if the individual has not received legal recognition of the adopted name.” Policemen must also “respectfully ask the individual” when they are “uncertain about which pronouns are appropriate.” All friskings will be performed by two members of the sex the transsexual chooses, if at all possible. Officer Javier Pagan, the Boston Police Department’s liaison to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities, said their policies are similar to rules in effect in W

But fall is fickle in the windy city, and Proco Joe Moreno once again is threatening to stall the chicken chain from opening in his ward. Moreno, Mayor Rahm (“Chicago Values”) Emanuel and other big-city officials piled on Chick-fil-A after Dan Cathy, the company’s president and COO , publicly supported the biblical definition of marriage. As they were soon reminded, though,  for a public official to deny a business license because of the businessman’s marriage views would amount to unlawful discrimination  against his viewpoints. Sadly, controversies such as the one that Moreno’s overblown comments helped create grow more frequent, and Chick-fil-A is only the most visible target. Advocates for “tolerance” increasingly push traditional ideas on marri

CHICAGO, – After a Chicago alderman  claimed last week  that Chick-fil-A had agreed not to fund pro-family organizations, the fast food chain’s president Dan Cathy has set the record straight. “Chick-fil-A made no such concessions, and we remain true to who we are and who we have been,” he said in a statement posted on Mike Huckabee ’s website on Friday. Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy. Last week, First Ward Alderman Proco “Joe” Moreno, who has been opposing Chick-fil-A’s attempts to open a franchise because of Cathy’s traditional marriage views,  claimed  that the Christian business had agreed that its philanthropy arm, the WinShape Foundation, would no longer support organizations that oppose redefining marriage. The news was widely reported in the mainstream media as a major “victory” for the pro-homosexual movement. However, the pro-family organization  MassResistance  told LifeSiteNews.com in an e-mail that a spokeswoman for the fast food chain specifically said th

Pro-gay Chicago alderman claims Chick-fil-a has agreed to stop ‘anti-gay’ donations

CHICAGO, September 19, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A Chicago alderman and homosexual activist who in July went public with his efforts to block Chick-fil-A from opening a franchise because its president, Dan Cathy, supports traditional marriage, is claiming to have gotten his wish.  Alderman Joe Moreno According to  a statement  from Civil Right Agenda, a homosexual rights group, Moreno has confirmed that Chick-fil-A will no longer give money to “anti- gay organizations ” through its charitable foundation, WinShape, and has agreed to clarify “in an internal document that the company will treat every person equally, regardless of sexual orientation.” Moreno says he will no longer oppose Chick-fil-a’s efforts to open a location in Logan Square. However, it is unclear how much has really changed. Federal Judge says No to Homosexual Marriage

Image
After a week dominated by the Chick-fil-A grassroots support movement there is more good news for marriage that you will never hear on the nightly news. Earlier this week another federal judge rejected the claim that there is a constitutional right to gay marriage ! A same-sex couple tried to get Hawaii's marriage laws struck down on the grounds that they are allegedly irrational and rooted in bias towards gay people. Hawaii, you will recall, was the original seat of the litigation wars seeking to impose gay marriage upon the American people . The population of the blue state of Hawaii responded in 1998 by overwhelmingly passing (69 percent to 29 percent) the very first marriage amendment, clarifying that the legislature has the right to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman. Now a federal judge has affirmed the right of the people of Hawaii to make that determination—and in the process rejected the argument that marriage is rooted in bias or bigotry: "Thro
