Mozilla CEO Brendan Eich steps down after homosexual backlash over his support of marriage

Image
The embattled CEO of Mozilla , the company that produces the Firefox internet browser, has stepped down after homosexual activists created a national backlash over his support for marriage. Brendan Eich bowed out as leader of the tech company after just days on the job, after LGBT activists discovered that he had donated $1,000 to California's Proposition 8 . The state constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman passed the deeply liberal state in 2008 with more than seven million votes. It was struck down on procedural grounds when the state's Democratic leaders refused to defend it in court, and the Supreme Court ruled that the voters had no standing to defend the ballot initiative themselves. Eich, who developed Javascript,  donated  $1,000 to Republican presidential contender Pat Buchanan in 1991-2. He was also a member of the Ron Paul revolution , giving $2,500 to the libertarian-leaning Congressman in his 1996 and 1998

Gay Mafia purge the open and inclusive Mozilla CEO fired

Andrew Sullivan , an openly homosexual pundit and influential voice, is anything but pleased about the successful boycott against now-former Mozilla CEO Brendan Eich . In the wake of Eich’s resignation after a targeted campaign over his $1000 donation in 2008 to California’s Proposition 8 , Sullivan fears that “ gay rights” activists are becoming “bullies.” Brendan Eich “If this is the gay rights movement today – hounding our opponents with a fanaticism more like the religious right than anyone else – then count me out,” he  wrote  Thursday. “If we are about intimidating the free speech of others, we are no better than the anti-gay bullies who came before us.” “Will he now be forced to walk the streets in shame?  Why not the stocks?” he asks. In his article, “The Hounding of a Heretic,” Sullivan writes, “He did not understand that in order to be a CEO of a company, you have to renounce your heresy!  There is only one permissible opinion at Mozilla, and all dissidents

Mozilla say they are open and inclusive: but change your mind or you get sacked

A half-dozen years ago, Brendan Eich donated $1,000 to the campaign for Proposition 8 , the California ballot initiative that set out to ban same-sex marriage. It passed with 52 percent of the vote, but was later overturned by the courts. Eich, the pro-Proposition 8 donor, stepped down as CEO of Mozilla , a company he co-founded, because various stakeholders at the company objected to his political donation from six years ago. At that time, a majority of Californians and an even bigger majority of Americans, including Barack Obama , the commander-in-chief who "evolved" to end the ban on gays and lesbians in the military, believed that gay marriage ought to be illegal. (In fact, that same year, around 40 percent of Americans thought gay sex should be illegal .) Now? "The backlash against Mozilla, which produces the Firefox Web browser , included calls for his resignation from developer groups and Mozilla's employees," the San Jose Mercury News reported,

Legal expert calls for Mozilla boycott after CEO apologizes for backing true marriage

Image
PRINCETON, NJ , March 31, 2014  – A noted Catholic academic and leading marriage defender is calling for a boycott of tech company Mozilla after homosexualist pressure from inside and outside the company led newly-appointed CEO Brendan Eich to apologize for previously supporting true marriage and pledge his “active commitment to equality.” Eich had contributed $1,000 in 2008 to support California’s Proposition 8 , a ballot initiative that opposed same-sex “marriage.” "The employees of Mozilla evidently think that people like me, and perhaps you, are not morally fit to be employees of their company," wrote Dr. Robert P. George , a Princeton University professor of jurisprudence, whom the  NY Times called America’s “most influential conservative Christian thinker." "They are attempting to force out their CEO because he made a financial contribution in support of the ballot initiative to uphold marriage in California as the union of husband and wife,&q

Inmates in California’s 33 prisons may “marry” their same sex lovers

Image
SACRAMENTO , September 4, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews ) – In the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court decision upholding a lower court order blocking California ’s Prop. 8 ban on gay “marriage,” the California Department of Corrections announced this week that inmates in the state’s 33 prisons may “marry” their same sex lovers, effective immediately.  The only catch?  At least for now, due to “security concerns,” prisoners cannot marry each other. “Effective immediately, all institutions must accept and process applications for a same sex marriage between an inmate and a non- incarcerated person in the community, in the same manner as they do marriages between opposite sex couples,” M.D. Stainer, director of the Division of Adult Institutions wrote in a  memo issued August 30.  Admitting that this may require some creative interpretation of state code regulating marriages of inmates, Stainer instructed prison officials that “the terms ‘bride’ and ‘groom’ … shall be interpreted

Catholic school Teacher’s immoral homosexual ‘marriage’ made public

A Southern California Catholic school fired one of its teachers because of his “marriage” to another man. Now, a former student is leading a petition effort to have him reinstated. The community is questioning whether a Catholic school has a right to fire someone for violating the Church’s teaching on living a homosexual lifestyle and same-sex “marriage.” Local media  touted the “marriage” of Ken Bencomo, 45, to Christopher Persky, 32, as one of the first in San Bernardino County after the June 26  Supreme Court decision  striking down California’s Proposition 8 . Bencomo had taught at St. Lucy’s in Glendora, California , for 17 years and was head of the English department, a dance coach, and yearbook moderator. According to Brittany Littleton, a former student  petitioning  for his reinstatement, Bencomo served in a  de facto  mentorship role to both students and teachers. The school, according to former student Abigail O’Brian, had been aware of the 10-year re

California Supreme Court denies petition to stop distribution of gay ‘marriage’ licenses

SACRAMENTO, CA , July 24, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – The California Supreme Court has denied a clerk's petition that he not be forced to issue same-sex “marriage” licenses until a court clarify whether it is legal for him to do so. San Diego County Clerk Ernest Dronenburg, who issues marriage licenses for a living, filed suit to seek “legal clarification” that he was acting according to legal norms. Ernest Dronenburg asked the court to guide him, without success Governor Jerry Brown and Attorney General Kamala Harris ordered the state to begin issuing marriage licenses to homosexual couples who request them following the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling that the  state's voters lacked standing to defend Proposition 8 , the constitutional amendment voters approved defining marriage as the union of a man and a woman. However, the Supreme Court did not rule on the constitutionality of Proposition 8 itself.  Article III, Section 3.5 of the California Constitutio

Clerk sues to block order forcing him to issue marriage certificates to same-sex couples

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA , July 22, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews ) – A San Diego County clerk has asked the California Supreme Court to strike down a directive issued by Governor Jerry Brown and Attorney General Kamala Harris ordering clerks statewide to issue marriage certificates to same-sex couples in violation of Proposition 8 , California ’s voter-approved ban on homosexual “marriage.” San Diego County Clerk Ernest Dronenburg’s lawyers told the high court their client is “caught in the crossfire of a legal struggle over the definition of marriage.” “On the one hand, respondents have ordered him not to enforce state law and are threatening to punish him if he does not comply with that order,” Dronenburg's lawyers wrote in the lawsuit. “On the other hand, petitioner has an independent statutory obligation to enforce California law defining marriage as a union of a man and a woman.” California county clerk Ernest Dronenburg They asked the court to grant an immediate stay to pr

(Photo credit: Wikipedia ) LONG ISLAND, NY , July 17, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews ) – Young boys preening in front of mirrors putting on makeup, picking flowers in skirts, and prancing in heels and dresses at a talent show: all these are depicted in controversial photoessay, featured on Slate this week, documenting an annual summer camp for gender confused boys. The images are drawing praise from gay activists, and criticisms from pro-family leaders. For the last three years, photographer Lindsay Morris has attended the four-day-long camp for “ gender variant ” boys from 6 to 16 and their families held in an undisclosed location in New England.  Morris refers to the camp by the pseudonym “Camp ‘You Are You,’” although her description of the camp closely matches the one given on the  website  for  Camp Aranu’tiq  for "transgender" boys, which was featured last year in the  Boston Globe , and which makes campers and visitors sign a confiden
