Former Australia PM calls for laws to protect those 'tangentially affected' by same-sex marriage

Current PM seeking the LGBT vote by being first Australian PM to participate in a Gay Pride march.  Australia: John Howard has called for conscientious objectors to homosexual marriage to be given legal protection, drawing attention to the prospect the Coalition could legislate to allow people to refuse to provide goods and services to gay weddings, Pastors, clergy, Christian business companies, Christian schools, colleges and hospitals. This list goes one! Howard said the “overwhelming majority” of Liberal MP's would vote in favor of immoral homosexual marriage if that was the result of the plebiscite, even if their personal view was against it. They would then need to resign for violating their conscience. PM Malcolm Turnbull confirmed on Friday MPs would be given a free vote after the plebiscite. Howard said: “I do think one thing that has to be addressed is the question of proper protection of religious freedom, and freedom of conscience in relation to people who might

Australia: Labor Leader changes his mind of homosexual marriage vote

Australia: Federal Opposition Leader Bill Shorten has been forced to clarify his position again on the merits of a plebiscite to decide on legalising immoral homosexual marriage in the wake of a video showing his support for the plebiscite in 2013. This potential PM is seen to be The Australian has obtained the video of Mr Shorten addressing the Australian Christian Lobby in his electorate of Maribyrnong, days before the last federal election. At the time, he said he was  "Completely relaxed about having some form of plebiscite. I would rather that the people of Australia could make their view clear on this, than leaving this issue to 150 people." When questioned on the comments today, he said there had been significant social developments since 2013.  "Community attitudes have moved on in Australia, I think that is a demonstrable fact, [and] secondly when you look at the experience in Ireland, over a year ago, some of the arguments which emerged were reall

Australia: Labor Party and Homosexual agenda

Image
There’s a campaign within this Australian election campaign. It is not playing out on people’s television screens so most Australians are oblivious. But this campaign within a campaign has the potential to radically re-shape Australia more than any other issue under discussion in this lacklustre marathon election. The sexual innocence of little children at school is at stake. Freedom of speech and freedom of religion is at stake. The right of Australians to decide the same-sex marriage question is at stake. So why doesn’t anybody know? Readers of The Australian and Fairfax on-line will be aware. But most punters don’t pay attention to these media outlets.  Labor ’s capitulation to Greens ’ rainbow politics was completed in spectacular but under-analysed fashion last week. Bill Shorten nailed his and Labor’s rainbow colours to the mast. This completed the most seismic shift to the extreme left ever conducted by a mainstream political party. If elected, Mr Shorten announced he wi

Aussie PM - becomes gay fool

On Q&A, John Faulkner, “a 65 year old Christian” asked “Who gave Mr Shelton and the ACL the right to speak for all Christians on the matter of marriage equality?” Lyle Shelton , managing director of the Australian Christian lobby (ACL) answered that just as a union can’t claim to speak on behalf of every members, the ACL does not claim to convey the views of every union member. There are two surveys that help answer the question of “Who does the ACL speak for?” The National Church Life Survey reveals that 73 per cent of the people surveyed in the last 5-yearly church census said they opposed same sex marriage. A Galaxy survey organised by Australian Marriage Equality found that 53 per cent of people who said they were Christian supported same sex marriage. Both polls date from 2011. Unlike pollsters like the Barna poll in the US which ask careful questions to define what people mean by “Christian”, the Galaxy poll asked no clarifying questions. So in opposing same-sex marriage

Richard Di Natale - his love for homosexual sin and hatred for those opposed!

Senator Bob Brown and Richard Di Natale in Melbourne,   Wikipedia ) HATEFUL. Clap-trap. Intolerant. Demonised. Offensive. From the Dark Ages . These are some of the insults hurled around by panellists during a fiery debate on same-sex marriage on Q&A ABC Australia. Pure abuse with no logical reasonable argument put forward. JUst shut down and shout down any person who would even question ...homosexuality. The verbal sparring began when traditional marriage advocate Katy Faust  spoke clearly and with scientific proof of her reasons for opposing changing Australia’s Marriage Act to allow same-sex couples to tie the knot. Faust, a US campaigner who was raised in a same-sex household, kicked off the debate when she claimed there had not been enough debate in the US about the harmful effects of children being raised by same-sex parents . Labor’s Sam Daystari immediately jumped on her comments and accused Faust, who runs a blog and Twitter account called @askthebigot, of having a

Some history on Australian Politicians pushing their homosexual agenda against the wishes of many

Image
Kevin Rudd (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Nine politicians in the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly tried to legalise homosexual marriage on behalf of all Australians. The nine were a predictable Labor-Green alliance and were opposed by eight Liberals. And also this week the Labor-Green government in Tasmania tried and failed to revive its recently rejected bill for same-sex marriage. A political party is in terminal decline when common sense amongst its leaders is no longer common. Throughout recorded history, common sense has understood that marriage is not just about adults – it’s about the needs and rights of children, too. Not so with new Labor, whose leaders have succumbed to the adult-only narcissism of “marriage equality”. Union leader Paul Howes told the Labor party this month “you do not belong with us” if you oppose the “fair go” of letting two men marry. But nowhere in his speech was there any consideration of a fair go for children created within such

Australia says no to Homosexual marriage

Image
English: Kevin Rudd, 26th Prime Minister of Australia. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Opposition Leader Bill Shorten should have nothing to fear from the Australian people being allowed to have a say on changing the definition of marriage, according to the Australian Christian Lobby . ACL Managing Director Lyle Shelton said it was disappointing to see Mr Shorten impute improper motives to ACL for wishing to see the issue be decided by a vote of the people. Mr Shelton, who hosted Mr Shorten at the organisation's national conference last year, said that while disagreeing with him on marriage welcomed his call at the time for a respectful debate. "I believe we can continue to be respectful even though we are on different sides of this debate. "However, our preference for the Australian people to be given a say is of course motivated by our desire for there to be a fair and open public debate. People should not have to be afraid to speak because of fear of being labelled

Warren Entsch introduces homosexual marriage bill with warning over 'divided nation' but it will divides anyways

The ABC reports: Government backbencher Warren Entsch has introduced a bill to legalise same-sex marriage in the lower house, despite knowing it is highly unlikely to go to a vote before the next election. In his address to parliament Mr Entsch warned of a "divided nation" unless gay marriage is legalised. "The main purpose of this bill is not a complex one. It is to give same-sex couples in Australia the same right to marry the person they love as that which is currently only granted by law to heterosexual couples," he told the chamber. What Entsch doesn't understand if his legislation is approved the nation will STILL BE DIVIDED "This bill is designed to promote an inclusive Australia, not a divided one. A divided nation is what we will be if we continue to allow discrimination in relation to marriage on the basis of a person's sexuality." Entsch Homosexual marriage bill contains no safeguards for anybody or organization that disagr

Dear Dolce & Gabbana- a letter of support from children of gays and lesbians

Image
Dear Dolce and Gabbana , Greetings from the United States . The six signers of this letter were all raised by gay and lesbian parents. Five of us are women and one is a queer man, though we all raised our children with their opposite-sex parents. We want to thank you for giving voice to something that we learned by experience: Every human being has a mother and a father, and to cut either from a child’s life is to rob the child of dignity, humanity, and equality. We know that gay parents can be loving, since we loved our parents and they loved us. Nonetheless, we have all had firsthand experience with the harsh backlash that follows when the dominant view of “gay parenting” as universally positive is questioned. We know that you will come under tremendous pressure, especially now when both Italy and the United States are being pushed to override our concerns for our rights to a mom and dad, in order to please a powerful gay lobby. Nobody receives more vicious attacks from the lobb

Gay ‘marriage’ set for defeat in Australia despite boost from US ruling

Image
CANBERRA , Australia , August 11, 2015 -- Defenders of natural marriage in Australia have had a stunning ' David vs Goliath ' win against a well-funded pro-same sex “marriage” lobby group that had the active support of the mainstream media and corporate bodies.  After a marathon six-hour party room meeting dedicated to the issue, two-thirds of government MPs have voted to maintain the position of voting as a block along party lines rather than permit members to have a conscience vote on the issue. This means that the coalition government will honour the commitment it went to the election with, to maintain the definition of marriage as being between a man and a woman.  As a result, the private members' bill put forward by opposition leader Bill Shorten will fail should it come to a vote.  The politicians pushing for same sex “marriage” had rushed to bring their bill forward to take advantage of the political momentum generated by the United States Supreme Court d

Traditional beliefs ignored in marriage equality debate

Image
Same Sex Marriage (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Opposing change on the basis of deeply held beliefs isn’t bigotry. In recent years there has been a remarkable shift in sentiment across the Western world about same-sex marriage . It may well be that in the next Federal Parliament, if not in this, there will be a majority of MPs who support change. The change in thinking is particularly apparent in the Labor Party . Less than four years ago, party policy was to oppose same-sex marriage. A little more than 10 years ago it voted with the Coalition to include in the Marriage Act a definition of marriage as between a man and a woman. Now, by 2019, MPs who hold that view will no longer be able to have a conscience vote on the matter. The implicit message, regrettably, is that people of devout faith who hold traditional views about marriage are no longer welcome in the party – a position that will be electorally dangerous for Labor in the long term. These are the "true believers&q

Australian Senator Wong wants to force her homosexuality onto all Australians - even with tears

Image
Penny Wong, Senator for South Australia,  supports immoral homosexual marriage and wants to force her views on all of Australia (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Groans and heckling greeted Liberal Senator Cory Bernardi each time he raised the rights of children to be allowed to know their mother and father. Loud applause greeted Senator Penny Wong each time she made a point supporting same-sex marriage . Another illogical unreasoned debate with ignorant journalist unable to think beyond the obvious. In what was the hottest ticket in town today at Canberra ’s National Press Club, the atmosphere felt more like ABC1’s Q & A program as the two debated changing the definition of marriage . With a cross-party bill to be introduced into Parliament in two week’s time, today’s press club debate was a sell-out. The pair jousted over rights of children and freedom of speech and conscience. While Senator Wong rightly points out that some same-sex couples already have children, she does no
