Confused Oregon Catholic school changes policy to allow teacher in gay ‘marriage’

The Board of Directors for St. Mary's Academy in Portland voted August 26 to add sexual orientation to its equal employment policy, "to amend and broaden St. Mary's policy on equal employment," and bring it "in line" with the school's "mission and beliefs."  While its action is incongruous with Catholic principles, the Board said in its announcement   that the school remains deeply committed to its Catholic identity. "St. Mary's is a diverse community that welcomes and includes gay and lesbian students, faculty, alumnae, parents and fri

Homosexual authoritarian radicals with militant tactics

Defenders of marriage and the traditional family continue to lose battle after battle to the purveyors of sexual liberation. So predictable have their defeats become that the judicial  coup  at the US Supreme Court over same-sex “marriage” surprised no one. Moreover, it finally but slowly seems to be dawning on Christian leaders that much more is at stake than even marriage, critical as that is. The awakening fear for “religious freedom,” along with attacks on peaceable Christian organizations as  “hate groups” and perpetrators of “violence”  reflects a growing awareness of the sexual agenda’s authoritarian designs. Now if we can start showing concern for the freedoms of others, who already face plunder and prison at the hands of the sexual radicals, we will become leaders of a constructive response. In fact, the impositions on Christians so far are very mild compared to  what others have endured . It is time to step back and look at the broader picture of what is taking p

Cripplegate - Biblical response to Supreme Court Gay marriage decision

(Photo credit: Wikipedia ) The United States Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that the 14th Amendment requires all 50 states to issue marriage licenses for same-sex couples and recognize those marriages performed in other states. Among professing Christendom, there has been everything from shock, outrage, fear, and indifference. Whatever our response, surprise must not be one of them and anchoring in God ’s word must be all of them. In addition to what the Cripplegate has previously said on this issue , here are a few things for us to keep in mind in light of the Supreme Court’s ruling: 1. The God of the Bible reigns in unrivalled sovereignty and supremacy. “Remember the former things long past, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, declaring the end f

Malta’s gay-activist priest ‘blesses’ rings for same-sex ceremony, gets a pass from archbishop

VALLETTA, Malta , April 15, 2015 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – Following a public scandal in Malta in which a priest “blessed” the rings of two homosexual men who were undertaking a civil unions ceremony, the newly appointed leader of the Maltese Catholic Church has encouraged the priest to continue his “pastoral outreach” to active homosexuals. Far from a reprimand, Dominican priest Mark Montebello was told by Archbishop Charles Scicluna to continue his “outreach” to active homosexuals. The  Malta Independent  reported that Archbishop Scicluna had called an “urgent” meeting with the priest and there was expectation that he would be ordered to clarify the ring blessing. Archbishop Scicluna, however, has not stepped up to defend Catholic teaching, but in comments on the national broadcaster RTK, said only that the ritual of the blessing of rings in engagement and wedding ceremonies were reserved for couples formed by a man and a woman. He added that he had encouraged Fr. Montebel

ORLANDO, FL , February 11, 2015 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) -- Paul Darrow thought he had it all, living a glamorous gay-lifestyle in New York as an international male super model. Life was Darrow’s oyster and he grasped at every thrill it had to offer. “I traveled all over Europe and the United States . I was always in glamorous careers with movie stars and famous models, going to all the ‘in’ spots like Studio 54 in New York. It was just a beautiful life. I was not unhappy, at least I did not feel unhappy. I felt I had the world by the tail,” Darrow  told  LifeSiteNews. LifeSiteNews caught up with Darrow and Father Paul Check, executive director of Courage International , earlier this month where Darrow spoke at the Legatus conference of Catholic business executives. According to Darrow, the lifestyle instilled in him a “frantic” appetite for sex that became more insatiable the more he tried to satisfy it. He eventually moved through thousands of men in pursuit of a fulfillment tha
