APPLE chief executive Tim Cook joined the White House in backing a bill to ban workplace discrimination against gay and transgender employees. "At Apple, we try to make sure people understand that they don't have to check their identity at the door," Cook wrote in an opinion column in the Wall Street Journal . "As we see it, embracing people's individuality is a matter of basic human dignity and civil rights." Cook said he supports the Employment Nondiscrimination Act pending in the US Senate which he said would, "at long last protect workers against discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity ". He also called on the House of Representatives to bring it to the floor for a vote. The problem with this bill is that it removes authority from the employer and forces them to possibly employ people whose lifestyle is opposite to and from the values of the company. Homosexual lobby groups are outraged at Google for having an app that claims to be able to cure unwanted same-sex attraction in 60 days , available at its Google Play online store. The self-help app is from the organization called Setting Captives Free , which produces a series of interactive courses that deal with addictive behaviors including sexual impurity, overeating, substance abuse, gambling, and smoking. The group claims to have helped over half-a-million people overcome unwanted habits. The contentious app is called Door of Hope. "You have arrived at the Door of Hope, the 60-day interactive course that will teach you to enjoy a newfound relationship with the Lord and how to find freedom from homosexuality. It is possible, and you can learn how," the brief description of the app states. The first report , conducted by  National Religious Broadcasters  (NRB) and the  American Center for Law and Justice , examined the policies and practices of several major Internet-interactive “new media” communications platforms and service providers, including Apple and its iTunes App Store , Facebook, Google, and others. Many of the top social media sites have been found to be "actively" censoring Christian viewpoints. The study found that some of the new media technology companies have outright banned Christian content, and that all social media sites, except Twitter, have speech policies more restrictive than the free speech rights guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution.
