American College of Pediatricians (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Are children usually better off with a mom and a dad or is parenting irrelevant to their development? What is more beneficial to a society—endorsing homosexuality or endorsing good parenting? Should the government endorse behavior that is usually harmful, but in rare exceptions is not? Family structure is the most important factor in a child’s development. As we saw in point 1, having a mom and a dad is the best structure. Conversely, according to the American College of Pediatricians , the research shows that homosexual couples provide a far less safe and stable environment for children. They note that violence among homosexual partners is two to three times more common than among married heterosexual couples, and homosexual partnerships are significantly more prone to dissolution than heterosexual marriages , with the average homosexual relationship lasting only two to three years. March 22, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has come out with a policy statement throwing their full support behind homosexual ‘marriage,’ including full adoption and foster care rights. At the same time, another U.S.-based organization of pediatricians has responded with its own statement affirming that a marriage between a man and a woman is the best place for children. In its statement the AAP says that supporting gay "marriage" is “the best way to guarantee benefits and security for their children.” “Children thrive in families that are stable and that provide permanent security, and the way we do that is through marriage,” said Benjamin Siegel , MD, FAAP, chair of the AAP Committee on Psychosocial Aspects of Child and Family Health, and a co-author of the policy statement.  “The AAP believes there should be equal opportunity for every couple to access the economic stability and federal supports provided to married couples

EDMONTON, Alberta , 23 November, 2012 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – An Alberta school trustee has come under attack in the media after suggesting that “it would be helpful” if students who self-identify as homosexual were less overt about their sexual orientation. “If children with a gay tendency appear a certain way, we know that we have to be vigilant to make sure they are not discriminated against,” Dale Schaffrick, who is the trustee for Pembina Hills Regional School Division and a farmer, told CBC News . Dale Schaffrick When asked if such students should be “less identifiable,” in the words of CBC, Schaffrick  reportedly responded  that “for their own benefit… it would be helpful.” The trustee had made similar remarks during a debate over an “anti-homophobia” proposal at the Alberta School Boards Association on Monday. The policy was rejected over concerns that it unnecessarily singled out homosexual students for protection, instead of protecting all students equally. E

Sodomy is unhealthy

Image via Wikipedia The controversial ‘transgender’ bill died on the order paper after the Canadian Parliament was dissolved over the weekend with the election call for May 2nd. Bill C-389, which sought to add “gender identity” and “ gender expression ” to the Canada Human Rights Act and the Criminal Code ’s hate crimes section, had moved to the Senate after it passed in the House of Commons February 9th in a vote of 143-135. The bill, which was opposed by numerous religious and pro-family organizations, was dubbed a ‘bathroom bill’ because it would allow men who say they are women to use women’s washrooms. Opponents said this could lead to an increase in bathroom attacks against women and children. The bill’s future could be in doubt as its sponsor, NDP member Bill Siksay , who made two previous attempts to get it passed in 2006 and 2007, has opted not to run in the current election.  Though numerous senators supported the bill, Siksay had failed to find a senator to bring it bef
