The news comes less than a week after the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reports that in 48 states men who have sex with men (MSM) represent the  majority of HIV/AIDS sufferers . Today members of the HHS Advisory Committee on Blood and Tissue Safety and Availability will be hearing  seven presentations  on the issue. The committee  declined  to change the policy in 2010. Existing policy bars men who have had sex at least once since 1977 from donating blood for life, due to the high risk of exposure to HIV/AIDS.  Other countries , such as Spain and Italy, have lifted their bans. Australia, Brazil, Japan, and Britain have a one-year deferral after sex. Canada has a five-year deferral policy. WASHINGTON, DC ,  – A new  report  from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) shows approximately  62 percent of gay men  who know they have HIV/AIDS continue to engage in sexual relations without using a prophylactic, a behavior that can spread AIDS.  The report, which was released on the Friday after Thanksgiving, analyzed data gathered in 2011.  According to the report, the percentage of men with HIV/AIDS having sex with other men without a condom had increased from 55 percent in 2005, to 57 percent in 2008, to 62 percent today. CDC spokesperson Nikky Mayes told LifeSiteNews.com in an e-mail that the “new analysis of data suggests concerning signs of sexual risk for HIV infection among gay and bisexual men in 20 major U.S. cities.” The surveys cited in the report examine men having sex with men (MSM) for a period of 12 months. Titled " Gay obituaries closely track officially reported deaths from AIDS ," study results will appear in the journal Psychological Reports . The president of the Family Research Institute, Paul Cameron , led the project. This report builds on an earlier one in which Dr. Cameron examined deaths reported in homosexual publications, tracked the ages of the deceased and averaged the results. The life expectancy of a male homosexual, it was determined, was in the early 40s.

As the homosexual movement makes gains in public opinion and politics, the dissenting voice of science continues to unearth health problem after health problem associated with gay sexual behavior. A systematic review of PubMed articles dealing with homosexual activity ( MSM ) and cancer rates found that rates for various cancers skyrocketed for men engaging in homosexual activity. The study, titled “ Cancer and men who have sex with men: a systematic review ,” was  published in  The Lancet  last December. Researchers examined 47 reports that merited inclusion in their study of sexual orientation and cancer rates. They found that the majority of the reports agree that MSM is a significant risk factor for cancer. Researchers found that a dozen of the 47 studies focused on the risk factors for anal cancer, including HPV infection in the anal canal.
